Just be aware most of those competing in BPU will most likely be assisted bud, some feds won't let you compete in other feds too, they can be funny like that. Need to pick a fed and stick with it really mate.

Ok mate will keep in mind cheers. Entry is not released until 3 months before anyway.

Gutsy work on the squats mate...I think the first few weeks of your plan are the hardest tbh so it should get easier.if heavier from now on lol.
 
Up the weight of speed deads, moving very quickly, we can afford to go heavier again.
 
Well done mate.

Im certainly finding squats the hardest at the moment - mixture of the reps and no sleeves but will be better when reps drop and weight increases. Noted on upping weight

A beefier look is certainly the look we are after mate lol.
 
I don't know where to start when it comes to looking for PL meets, there's that many feds and all have different rules that it seems like a huge task to find one sometimes. Especially finding one nearby.
 
edit - saying that I've just found the one you are on about at Towcester on the east mids powerlifting association website.


I did notice my shirts are tighter but better getting compliments off the wife then me thinking im bigger. The beefy look is the way to go.
 
I started online but mainly through FB pages now and finding diff feds and what I feel is suitable for me. You thinking of the Towcester one then? Where you based now?



I was tempted until Ox pointed out that I would be cheating if I did lol. It's not too far from me though, I'm in Tamworth so just over an hour away.
 
Quality squat reppage there mate, those last couple of reps looked brutal.

There surely must be a few near you though? Just need to keep searching.

I haven't seen any yet, will keep searching though. The West Midlands Powerlifting website I looked at doesn't have anything in their calender for 2019 yet, which seems weird. Their fed was tested though I think anyway, so doesn't work for me. West Mids is more my neck of the woods, but I am borderline East Mids as well so either would be ok.

Dead bench felt much better this week - allowed bar to rest for 4-5 secs and was exploding up as quick as possible. Getting fatigued towards the end but got full 10 reps. Same weight next week. Slingshot bench again much better then last week - will start next session on 80 as confident I can increase that. DB press run out of steam so need to lower weight next week so I hit 20 reps each set. Ext and raise usual fun/ticking over and threw ina  bonus video of extensions although angle is bad. Run out of time for hammer curls so will superset with cable raises next week.
 
Lots of videos for viewing pleasure today - but sadly no nut shots no matter how close it seems it is.
 
There is a bonus slight posey vid also. Terrible lighting and I clearly do not know how to pose but didn't have the bottle to do it in gym so dark changing room quickly while no one is there. Big diff on last summer I think although vid isn't the best. May get the wife to do one as I think my back is pretty decent. Sometimes you just cant fight the bro.

The temptation for a takeaway curry was strong tonight - very strong. Resisted and made a chicken curry from scratch, onion/broccoli bhaji with steamed rice. Bloody delish. 1 bottle beer as well as fancied one but back on the tea already

It really overworks the tri's - you get a good pop coming up. Does take practise getting used to set up and I think I still need work but can see the benefit. Luckily my slingshot was 2nd hand from a mate so no cost for me
