Nice work on the bench today, dead bench is a good idea.
 
Agree with you on your squats. Alot of back movement/good morning going on in the ascent, I get this from time to time and leaves me with a horrendous back pump, my own diagnosis has been having the bar too low on my back. I squat high bar normally.

So you're well on your way with Ox now? Great stuff. When and where is the comp? Someone else said this on here but nothing focuses the mind quite like a competition on the horizon...

Nice mate... With the dead/pin press pause on the pins longer... A good 4-5 seconds between each rep.

Keep pushing this accessory work hard.

Cheers mate. Yeh dead bench was good fun and can see the benefit.
Its something I need work on I think and will be keeping this in mind when working on squats next few weeks. I much prefer low bar as I can squat more its just nailing it so back is not taking over to early on

Cheers mate. Too early to say tbh as that session I was getting used to it - did feel a good bounce off the chest with it and tri's really worked well but next couple weeks will see better benefit.

Getting there mate - 2nd week now of plan. Hockley on 17th March. Definitely agree there - I was focused end of last year working towards new 1RM's but the focus of an upcoming comp is even better

Nice weekend chilling with family and some good R&R. Lots of DOMS to iron out so glad had the weekend. One of the best weekends for ages food wise as well - the only crap I had was 1 small choc biscuit sat and a packet of crisps Sunday. No booze, no missed meals and minimal junk. Should add also no craving for booze either as normally fancy a beer come weekend.

Deadlifts were fine no issue. Loads of energy for more sets there - they are feeling good. Rows increased reps and again feeling light - will move weight forward next week by 2.5-5kg. Havent done closegrip pulldowns in about 8 years so was feeling weight and getting used to movements but lats and forearms blew up and fatigued nicely. Same for chest supported rows. High rep hammy curls destroyed my legs - jeesus!
 
Only down note for session was could not get near a squat rack for speed squats - people were doubled up on them with other people waiting after them. Jan rush time in gym at mo.
 
Could not wait to eat when back at work - I worked my a*se off today and was shaky when showering coming back to work. All good though once had food back in me.  Roll on tomorrows sesh.

Nice work mate, that includes the meals and booze as well as the lifts. Try to video yourself mate even if you don't post them.    You get a lot of feedback from video that you miss out on when you don't do it.  Sometimes the bar can feel like it's moving through syrup, then you watch it back and it was rapid. Other times this can be reverse.  Either way it gives you a good bench mark for the session and progress. After all if you lifted the same weight faster, that was an improvement. You can also see how your form looks and make adjustments if necessary. 
 
I'm sure the herd will start to thin soon and you can back to business as usual.  I've even noticed an increase at my gym, my brother has threatened to train twice.  Not sure how I'll cope.

Haha wasn't expecting much request for them. Their a year old just preferred socks but need to mimic comp so will be in next DL vid.

Thanks mate. I really did let myself down with booze/food here and there but keeping on top at moment. Will have the odd beer/junk if I fancy but currently no real craving or fancy for it.
Vids will follow - I mainly do them on the main lift for form/speed check of if an accessory is not feeling right. Just busy in there at moment so will get vids what I can.

Very very fun session. Bench moved well and was coaching myself with instructions to pauses/lift etc Floor press 80 seems to be the weight I need to work on - plan calls for between 4-8 reps so will be working on this to get reps up. Less of a pused on floor - was not TNG but slight pause to control and back up. Pressdown moved weight forward from last week and switched extension to Cable extensions as felt less awkward doing movement. OH press again moved weight forward and kept form strict and controlled. Front raises was tough as arms dead at this point but potential to move weight forward next week.
 
Good session all in. Rest day tomorrow so will either be no gym or a foam roll/stretch session/sauna session

Nice work mate, I bet you were blitzed after that.  Obviously Ox is the man to listen too but I feel you are going a touch heavy on the floor press if you are missing reps at this stage.  Seems like it would be better not to attempt the rep unless you are certain you can finish it.  That is unless your recovery can cope with it, in which case crack on.

Actually I felt great after - Mondays session massively blitzed me but today felt awesomw so enjoying that while I can. No sounds fair point - should be aiming at more reps at this stage.
