i check your journal with every update.

Forgive me for being rude but you seem stuck In a rut. Are you looking to increase size, get lean or are you happy lifting for fun? The weight lifted seems to have stalled over the years.

Yeah training for strength, muscle and general fitness.  Initial gains were good on Frankie's etc years ago.  But yeah you're right gains have stalled.  I've only really been training 1-2 times a week for a while.  I get back into training then lose motivation + struggle with fatigue and injuries.  I still enjoy it though and miss it if I don't train for a while.  I keep the journal going and I'm happy lifting for fun.  But it would be nice to see some gains.

Lifting for fun is great :) If you didn't enjoy it and only lifted to get a good body you would soon lose motivation (as I have in the past). I really think theres a lot to be said for training for strength, muscle and general fitness. 
 
I only train twice a week too, it's all my shifts will allow. I don't think it's a hindrance at all. I'm an advocate of abbreviated training as per Stuart McRobert and like the logic of doing as little as possible to get the results we desire. 
 
If I was going to offer advice I'd have to say to look at factors outside of the gym as to why you are not making progress and if you have not read 'Brawn' then buy yourself a copy and get reading!
