Jonezy's getting numbers back up and beyond journal!!

Ok so i finally decided to post up a journal to keep me on track, just had a 2 and a half week break of eating crap, no training, e.t.c lost quarter of an inch on me guns, bodyweight dropped by 4 pounds, Anyway no point moaning, let's get strong again!!! so here goes.

Monday
Squats 2*5 115kg up weight next squat session
barbell bent over rows 3*6 110kg-first 2 sets good form, last set a bit sloppy, same weight next session
pull ups 2*8 1*6 -Rubbish!! try ror 3*8 next time then switch to 3*6 with 1.5 kilo weighted!!
Barbell curl 3*6 60kg got these but still going to use same weight next time, as it was a bit of a struggle!
Dumbell curl 1*3 30kg each hand, not good!! bi's were fried from the barbell!!
Calf raises 3*12 100kg- my calfs are my worst bodypart!! hardly ever train them!! got all reps anyway, up weight next session by 2.5kg.

All in all not a very good workout but then again i kinda expected it from my long lay-off, Cns should adapt to the heavy poundages again quickly! And muscle memory should kick in, Then i'll be back on track!!! Although may have started a bit heavy again on some lifts. Also i should add that as of today im taking creatine ethyl esther, think it's only the second or third time i've used it and that was only for 3-4 weeks. Anyway onward and upward!! god knows what benching will be like!!! May use dumbells?? we'll see!! Should add that im only working out mon, wed, fri, and no cardio.

    Tuesday- pretty bad doms in hammies, ass, thighs, upper back is a bit sore too, didn't get enough cals in yesterday, appetite not as it used to be from when i was training before, should be back up in a week or so! gonna train chest, abs, tri's tomorrow. And force myself to eat more!!!!!!!!!!!!

    morning weight no food no water-13.8 stone, not 100% how to do measurements but i'll say where i measured from.

    Tuesday May 20th 08

    Measurements all cold but flexed/tensed

    Forearms-13.5 tensed about an inch or so from elbow
    calfs-15.2 thickest part tensed
    waist-38.12 relaxed in line with belly button!!
    chest relaxed-43 in line with nipples
    chest expanded-44
    thighs-23.1 round thickest part
    neck-16.5 head up as if you were getting measured!!lol!!
    biceps right-16 tensed
    biceps left-16 tensed

    Im only going to use straps on dumbell rows as my forearms have lost strength/size since i started using them, so it's chalk i'll be mainly using, deadlifts are done with belt also after 200kg, squats are raw for the moment. Thanks for looking all comments/constructive criticism greatly appreciated.

    Went to gym today workout was:

    Wednesday:

    barbell Bench press 3*6 105 kg-this wasn't as bad as i thought it would be, also was only supposed to do 3*5 but couldn't resist!! lol!!
    incline dumbell press 3*6 40kg dumbells, not too bad.
    seated dumbell press 2*8 27.5kg dumbells pretty easy,
    dips bodyweight+40kg 2*5 RUBBISH!!! used to do 10 reps + with this weight!!! not happy with that!!
    weighted situps on decline ab board, bodyweight +40 kg 12, 10, 8, supposed to do 3*10 but got a bit optimistic on first set.
    rear delt raises seated 1*12, 1*15, with 17.5kg dumbells these were pretty easy.

    That concludes todays workout!! lets hope my legs are not so sore on friday as i've got deadlifts!!! Oh and diet is getting better, getting some good food in now.

    Went to gym today, workout was::

    Friday

    Deadlifts 2*5 200kg not too bad, up weight next sesh. used no belt only chalk.
    leg press 2*10 130kg pretty easy, up weight next sesh.
    pullups 3*8 bit of struggle but got them, do 3*6 weighted next time
    barbell curls 1*4 60kg got very bad pain in right forearm while doing these so stopped.

    That was it for today, cut workout short because had to goto work didn't realise the time!! overall i felt good when i first started then absolutely ****e after deadlifts!!!! very lightheaded and overall just tired!! but wen't ok considering.

    Went to gym today workout was:

    flat dumbbell press 2*8 1*7 40kg each dumbell, gonna go for 3*6 with 42.5 next time
    incline dumbell press 1*7 1*6 30kg each dumbell, do 32.5 try for 2*6 next sesh.
    dips 2*5 weighted 40kg, these still feel hard!!! don't know whats going on!!!
    Abs weighted decline 2*10 1*11 40kg on chest, go for 3*11 next sesh.
    reverse seated flyes 2*12 1*14 not too bad, go for few more reps next time.

    Not too bad, incline bech seemed fairly easy, just seem to have no endurance, and i don't think higher reps do much for me so gonna stick with reps of 6 for flat dumbell press and incline dumbell press.

    Went to gym today workout was:

    Wednesday

    Squats 2*5 117.5kg went up easy enough up weight next time
    bent over rows 110kg 2*6 done them but had bad pain just below ribs from squatting.
    military press 1*16 60kg just for fun!!!!!!!
    pullups 3*8 +2.5kg weighted these seemed fairly easy to do today.
    barbell curl 2*5 60kg forearm was paining again so stopped short
    alternate dumbell curl 1*6 1*8 27.5kg dumbells
    calf raise 2*13 1*16 105kg easy!!!!!!

    All in all not a bad workout squatting was quite easy but painfull had this pain in my side for a while now and squatting and rowing really set it off!!! it is holding me back!! also right forearm is not as bad as it was but still painfull!! damn injuries!!!!!

    Went to gym today workout was:

    Friday

    Flat barbell bench press 2*6 1*5 107.5kg goto 110kg next workout.
    incline dumbell press 1*6 2*5 42.5kg each dumbell stick with this weight next workout
    Dips 2*6 1*5 bodyweight +40kg same weight next workout,, go for 3*6
    weighted decline situps 2*12 1*11 +40kg on chest, these are getting easier can feel my strength coming back!!
    seated reverse flyes 2*12 1*13 20kg dumbells, got a bit swingy on the last couple of reps on the last set!! this is just for rotator cuff work, but as everything i do i try to up the weight.
    tricep pushdowns 1*15 the whole stack about 75kg i think?????

    All in all not a bad workout, this pain in my side is really nagging me, also right forearm gives me grief now and then, but still quite happy with todays workout, getting a bit of strength back.

    went to gym today workout was:

    Monday

    Squats 2*5 120kg- these felt strangely light today???? up weight next workout.
    bent over barbell row 2*6 1*7 110kg- these were lightish aswell!!up weight next workout!
    pullups 1*6 2*7 bodyweight+5kg- these felt light aswell!! reckon i could have got 3*8 if i really tried!!! up weight!!
    barbell curl 3*6 60kg-struggled a bit on last few, but not too bad!! up weight!!!
    standing alternate dumbell curl 1*8 1*10 27.5kg each dumbell!!! these felt like i was curling toothpicks!!!! up weight!!!! strict form aswell
    calf raise 3*16 110kg- felt like there was about 20kg on the machine!!! WTF?? even held for about 40 seconds on last set!!!!

    All in all despite my injuries still nagging me i pushed through and what a blinding workout!!!! i still didn't even push 100% today, more like 85%, but everything just seemed stupidly light????? i had a booze free weekend with plenty of rest and food, also took 1 and 3/4 teaspoon of creatine this morning instead of just one, don't think that that could of made that much of a difference surely?? Anyway im happy today strength is coming back a good un!!!!!

    went to gym today workout was:

    Wednesday

    Incline barbell bench press 2*5 1*4 100kg forgot my damn chains that weigh 1 1/4 kilos each so had to jump up 5kg!! DOH!!!
    Flat dumbell press 1*8 1*5 1*6 42.5kg each dumbell!! may just use 45kgs for 3*6 next time
    Dips 3*6 bodyweight+40kg about fookin time n' all!!! up weight next time!!!
    decline situps bodyweight +40kg 3*12 completed wahoo!!!!! may have even done 13 on last set cant remember???
    seated reverse flyes 2*12 1*13 20kg each dumbell!! gonna stick with these for a bit!! just for rotators!!!

    All in all not too bad really i reckon im gonna nail that incline bench next time!! got the last rep halfway up then a fly landed on the bar and it was stuck!! lol!! looking forward to deadlifting friday!!!

    Mondays workout done on tuesday!! went shooting on monday instead.

    Tuesday

    Bench press 3*5 110kg a little struggle on last rep, up weight next time
    incline dumbell press 3*6 42.5kg each dumbell, surprisingly quite easy, up weight
    Dips 1*6 1*4 1*6 bodyweight +42.5kg went too low on fourth rep and got stuck!! Same weight!!!
    Weighted decline situps 3*13 Bodyweight +40kg These are getting alot easier, and so they should!!
    tricep pushdown 1*19 whole stack (71kg) just for fun!!!
    seated reverse flyes 2*12 20 kg each dumbell!! was quite tired at this point!!!

    Stopped the creatine on sunday, don't actually think it was doing much apart from maybe recovering slightly quicker, may use again in 4 weeks or so when the poundages start getting heavier!!! On a side note had 2 and a half hours kip in the afternoon before i went to gym, felt quite spaced out in gym, but not really that tired. Not a bad workout atleast weights are going up and that is what matters.

    Went to gym today workout was

    Wednesday

    Squats 1*6 1*5 122.5kg these were fairly easy, only a slight struggle on las rep, nothing major!! up weight!!
    bent over barbell row 2*6 1*7 112.5kg these were easier than expected up weight!!
    pullups 3*6 bodyweight + 7.5kg these were ok up weight!!
    barbell curl 2*6 1*5 62.5kg still right forearm giving me a bit of jip!! same weight!!
    standing dumbell curl 2*7 30kg each dumbell, not too bad!! may stick with this weight next week???
    calf raise 2*15 1*18 120kg on standing machine, calfs are coming along now finally!!! still ALOT of room for improvement!!!!

    Quite a good workout today, went into gym feeling a bit tired, im on earlies, up at 6 in the morn!! pleased with today though, compounds are going up!!!!!

    Wnt to gym today, didn't go too well

    friday

    Incline barbell bench press 3*5 100kg wern't so bad, kept exploding the bar up using speed and momentum. up weight!!
    Flat dumbell bench 2*5 1*4 45kg each dumbell! this was crap!! was very weak today on these!!!
    Dips 1*6 1*5 bodyweight+42.5kg felt like giving up so i did
    dips on machine 1*17 1*15 1*15 107kg-117kg-127kg these were easyish!! wanted a bit of repetition work for a change.
    decline ab twists 1*10 could feel my stomach was ripped to **** from last workout had too stop!!!
    shoulder press 1*6 1*5 30kg each dumbell, these were pretty pointless, my tris were completely gone dunno why i bothered!!!!!

    Not too pleased today, didn't even stick to my routine properly, i don't think the benching on tuesday instead of monday helped either, still had doms, especially in abs, feeling tired!!! and diet has been pretty crappy this week!! oh well gotta stop making excuses and give myself a kick up the ass!!! *****SORT IT OUT******

    Workout today was

    monday

    Deadlifts 2*5 205kg The last rep on the last set was a bit of a struggle grip started going but locked it out!!! up weight!!!!
    Leg press 2*10 140kg Absolutely rinsed these!! up weight!!!
    Weighted pullups 3*6 bodyweight +8.75kg
    One arm dumbell rows 1*15 60kg just for ****s n' giggles!!!! Was easy!!! Used straps!!!
    Dumbell curls 1*4 30kg dumbells was soo tired, deadlifts drained me!!!!
    Calf raise 3*15 130kg was quite easy, had fairly short rest periods, held on last rep of last set!! up weight!!!
    Seated dumbell curls 1*8 1*9 25kg dumbells just to finish myself off!!! was ready to drop!! think blood sugar levels plummeted from deadlifts!!!!

    Fairly pleased with today, Compounds still rising!!! feeling fooked now!! I want me curling to go up but so drained from compounds that i've really gotta dig deep to get anywhere on these, i know it's a bit gay!!! Still id rather be strong than just a bicep boy!!

    Workout today was

    Wednhesday

    Bench press barbell 2*5 1*4 112.5kg stupid guy came over and i think he helped on last set of last rep, i know i could of got it!! but i haven't counted it!!
    incline dumbell press 2*6 1*7 42.5kg each dumbell, gonna stay with these and try to get a few more reps!
    standing military press 1*6 1*5 70kg just done these for a bit of a change!
    shoulder press 1*4 (i think) 35kg each dumbell, was fried from previous lifting!!
    Dips on machine 1*15 1*13 132kg 142kg these seem to hit my tris well!!! they need to put a seat belt on machine.
    Decline weighted situps 2*14 bodyweight +40kg these were ok but was feeling drained so missed a set.
    rear delt flyes 2*14 20kg each dumbell, was knackered by now!! lol!!!

    On a side note went to gym feeling very drained, and still VERY sore from deadlifts, worked all weekend aswell, despite this i was still quite strong in the gym for the way i was feeling.

    New measurements after 1 month Thursday june 19th 08

    Morning weight no food no water 13st 12
    Measurements done cold but flexed/tensed

    Chest relaxed 43.4 in line with nipples

    Thighs 24 round thickest part
    neck 16.12 head up as if you were getting measured!!
    biceps right-16.4
    biceps left 16.2

    Very happy with new measurements, especially only after 1 month!! I know some of it is muscle memory, I may have cheated myself out of half an inch on chest relaxed as i was breathing fully out instead of just being relaxed, hence the big difference between relaxed and expanded!! I knew for certain my thighs had grown as my boxers are getting tight on my thighs, dunno what happened with my neck?? this was literally round the thinnest part!! Deadlifts maybe??? And waist also i may have been bloating my stomach out a bit?? but i just put that measurement anyway, Gaining muscle and losing fat with no cardio!!!!

    Friday 20th june

    workout today was:

    Squats 1*7 1*8 125kg- was supposed to do 2*5 but got pissed off with having chicken legs so dug out the spade!! lol!!!
    bent over rows 3*6 115kg- last reps of last set were a bit sloppy may stick with this weight for another week or so??? we'll see!
    weighted pullups 3*6 bodyweight+10kg went to arms fully extended on some of these however last rep was a bit of a struggle!
    babell curl 1*7 1*6 1*5 60kg forgot me damn chains!! doh!!!
    standing military press 1*15 60kg just for a laf!!!
    dumbell curl 1*7 1*8 30kg each dumbell got pissed off with these so done 8 reps.
    calf raise 1*15 1*12 then held! 200kg!!!! wtf!!!!! seem a guy with legs even worse than mine so i thought right!!! was 0nly supposed to do 135kg!!! will just do 140-150kg next week!

    Was a good workout! very pleased especially with squats, getting me grrrr back that i used to have in me younger day!! (about 2 years ago!) when the grrr comes out the weights go up and up and up!!! good old grrrr!!!!!!!

    close grip incline bench press 1*8 1*7 70kg done these for a break from the norm!!
    seated reverse flyes 2*14 20kg each dumbell these seemed very easy today!
    dare i say it!! pec dec flyes 1*35 full stack (89kg) gotta admit when i got to the 30th rep felt like i was gonna have a blow out on one of my shoulders!! as i found it hit my shoulders rather than chest!!!

    Quite pleased with workout today! definitely getting stronger! although i've gotta stop eating whole 12 inch pizzas to myself and double cheeseburgers!! only happens at weekends! makes me look pregnant!! on a side note went to sleep for a few hours before i went to gym, took an energy drink, this did help a bit i think, deadlifts next workout! i love em yet hate em, coz i feel like curling up in a ball and going to sleep after i've done them! but love the strength/growth from them!
