MFP have some wild variations of carbs on this ranging from 4 to 18!

If I’m going to go to KFC I’ll make sure it’s a carb day!

I'm very excite about this.

When it first came out in the states, I wrote a letter to KFC UK demanding they followed suit... Years later, they clearly succumbed.

However, if you're a next level KFC eater like me, you could create one by buying 2 fillet burgers with bacon and cheese and constructing it yourself.

The game has changed.

Yesterday I tried these.

Noodles made with Pollock and Whiting proteins. They are amazing! They don’t taste of fish and have the texture of egg noodles! Got them in Tesco and they are a bit expensive but so worth it. A single 115g portion of noodles is

12.6g Protein
7g Carbs
12.6 Fat
197 kcals

What alchemy is this! Amazing macros.

I went fusion and created an Arrabbiata / Szechwan stirfry

Noodles
Red peppers
Green beans
Red onion
Chicken thigh strips
Chorizo
Baby plum tomatoes
Garlic
Chili
Szechwan pepper

Dark soy sauce mixed with 5g low sugar tomato sauce as a cooking sauce

Stirfry.

68g Protein
19g Carbs
50g Fat
803 kcals

From what I gather it's only going to be on offer in the UK for 6 weeks or something

Only available for 6 weeks. £4.79 for 2 bits of chicken some plastic cheese and slice of bacon is not an offer at all!

But you know me, ill probably have 4 of them!

On a similar topic, Macdonals have brought out the South African Stack burger his week.

“Smoky BBQ sauce, Beechwood smoked bacon, Pepper Jack cheese, Hot & Spicy Mayo, lettuce and a slice of tomato, in a glazed paprika topped bun”

None of that is South African in the slightest! These companies just bring out these fads so people rush out to try them.

But I tell you what a good product was. Burger King used to chicken fries!

Are we using the word ‘YouTube’ as a noun or a verb Simon?

Dont have a recipe guys but Tesco do a bone broth (chicken and beef) that is great for drinking and like 0.1g of carbs. Cost £1.50, bit if salt and pepper its superb.

Haven’t done a recipe in a while, made these today. Yum

Protein Peanut Butter Cookies.

30g coconut flour
80g butter, softened
5g granulated stevia sweetener
25g vanilla whey
2 medium eggs
1/2tsp baking powder
250g crunchy natural peanut butter.

Mix all ingredients. I like to roll into a sausage and put in freezer for 10min. Helps me divide it into equal portions much easier.

Once divided , roll into balls, press down with a fork on a baking sheet and bake and gas 4 for 12min

I didn’t press down much as I like chunky with a soft centre but you can make them flatter and cook for a bit longer

Makes 24 cookies. Each cookie has:

4.5g protein
1.5g carbs
9g fat

107kcals

Low Carb Protein Pancakes

Big thick and fluffy American style pancakes.

3 eggs, yolks and whites separated
1 scoop vanilla whey
1tbs coconut flour
15g melted butter
1/2 tsp baking powder

Whisk eggs whites until form soft peaks. This is the important part to get the pancakes fluffy.

Meanwhile mix all other ingredients together. Add a third of the whipped whites to the mixture and mix well. Then fold in the rest very carefully making sure to keep as much air in as possible.

Cook as pancakes.

40 protein
7g carbs
32g fat

485kcals

I normally like the sugar free syrups but last week I found this stuff in the shop. OMFG! It is amazing. Yes it’s full of polyols but for 3G of carbs per 33g grams it hits all chocolate spots I need. Bloody expensive though

Here’s the finished meal, complete with 5 rashers of crispy bacon

That looks fantastic. Are the pancakes a little flan like? I find a lot of the no flour/high protein stuff can be a bit eggy.

Streaky bacon or GTFO 😉

As above, are they not a bit like coconut and vanilla flavoured omlettes?

The pancakes are more like crumpets. The coconut flour , whipped whites and baking powder help them rise so they’re not like omelettes at all. If you cook them too long they’re not moist, if I was to do them again if add a splash of cream to the melted butter to make A high fat buttermilk.

Kaneda, streaky only when you’re having syrup! As these had no syrup, I went with the proper bacon!

Components:
1.5 kg of pork ribs
1 kg of sauerkraut
3 onions (about 250 g)
1 head of garlic (about 40 g)
1 teaspoon ground cumin
1,5 tablespoons of marjoram
1 tablespoon of savory
1 teaspoon of hot ground paprika
3 bay leaves
5-6 grains of allspice
salt pepper
200 g fat for frying (lard or goose)
Wash the meat, wipe it with a paper towel and divide it into portions of appropriate size. Personally, I prefer about 200-250 g.
Peel garlic, squeeze through the press and then mix thoroughly with 1.5 teaspoons of salt, marjoram, savory and hot pepper.
Then rub the meat with the prepared spices and leave to marinate for a minimum of 3 hours. I leave for the whole night, so that the meat is perfect.
Peel the onion and cut into feathers.
Marinated meat should be fried on hot fat until golden brown.
Pour the sauerkraut out of excess water into two equal parts and mix. Half put on the bottom of a goose or a casserole and sprinkle with ground cumin seeds.
Place the ribs with fat on the cabbage, English onion, bay leaves and sprinkle with pepper.
Put out the remaining cabbage, sprinkle with caraway and pour over 1.5 glasses of water. Add fat that eventually remains.
Bake for 45 minutes under cover at 200ºC. After this time, check the softness of the meat and if it is almost ready, bake for 15 minutes without cover. If the meat requires longer baking, increase the baking time by covering it for up to 1 hour or longer. It all depends on the size of the pieces of ribs.
Bon Appetit! 🙂
