KETO Recipes

Going to document my exploits in creating high fat/low carb meals, snacks and treats.

If you have any keto friendly recipes please do share.

Fat Fudge

125g Unsalted Butter
125g Tahini
3tbs Raw Cacao Powder
3tbs Granulated Sweetener
1tsp Maca

Melt butter and whisk in Tahini, add other ingredients and keep whisking till it become a thick chocolate sauce.

Pour into ice cube trays and set in fridge for a few hours. They need to be kept in the fridge to keep shape. Can be frozen.

One a night takes all my chocolate cravings away. Also good in the mornings with a cup of Coffee. Or melted for instant choc sauce . I like bitter chocolate so these aren't terribly sweet. Adjust as you like

Makes 12 fudges. Per 1

4g Protein
1g Carbs
18g Fat
182kcal

I used to eat a bit of Lindt 90% when I did keto last June.

I used to eat a bit of Lindt 90% when I did keto last June. 


Not a lot of fat in that . I do like really dark bitter choc though.. Especially with a single malt

Keto - KFC

Damn these were good!

500g Chicken Thighs
36g Bag of pork scratching's
20g polenta
1 egg
Half tsp chicken spice (Schwartz is good)
20g coconut oil (or other oil suitable for high temperatures)

Cut chicken into strips, put in a ziplock
Beat egg and add to bag.

Smash the scratching's into a fine crumb. Mix with polenta and spices. Add to the bag

Give it a shake until all chicken is covered.

Shallow fry until golden and crispy.

Makes 3 portions.

Per 1 portion:

40g Protein
2g Carbs
26g Fat
406kcal

Bacon Wrapped Onion Rings

Inspired by one of my foodie spirit guides, the_lone_wolf, these are epic. A bit fiddly (but that's because I only had medium sized onions, bigger ones would be better.

I made 6 of them (22g onion) with a streaky rasher for each ring.

Bake in hot oven for 10-15min

Per 6

18g Protein

17g Fat
239kcal

Prawn Cocktail Lettuce Wraps

A simple and delicious snack. I assembled it at my desk at work

150g Cooked Prawns
2tbs Fullfat Mayo
1/2tbs Reduced Sugar ketchup
1tsp lemon juice
Black pepper
Liberal amounts of Tobasco
Gem Lettuce

24g Protein
2g Carbs
21g Fat
299kcals



Also good served in an avo for 'Avocado Ritz'

It's got a very malty flavour. Expensive in H&B but cheap online. Think you can get it in waitrose too. A bag lasts forever as you only need a tiny bit

Good for baking, shakes, smoothies etc

Great work on the bacon rings... I love it!
 
One snack that I often have when I get in from home is tremendously simple to make, and very keto!
 
Step 1. Take 2 large slices of good quality ham.
 
Step 2. Imagine the ham as a wrap, then proceed to fill the center with good quality peanut butter. (An optional added extra you could add if you want to increase the fats is a good quality butter. It adds in fats, but also adds a decadent creaminess too.)
 
Step 3. Season with salt to taste. (Gotta keep the salt up on keto)
 
Step 4. Add veg source of choice - I like raw red onion here, or bell peppers!
 
Step 5. Roll and eat the delicious wrap of keto glory!

FFS DV! This is a keto thread! You can't come in here and start throwing about brand names tortila chips! That's fiftyfvckingseven grams of carbs per 100g!

Jesus wept. It's hardly baking Newcastle. . You're mixing 2 ingredients together and then sprinkling and mixing some powder in before putting it in the fridge!

KETO is about fat. Dark chocolate doesn't have enough fat in it.

Put some effort in man!
