Knee cartilage torn - upper-body, fat-loss routine?

Hi guys

I've gone and torn my knee cartilage and I'm going to see the physio tomorrow, so has anyone got any training advice to maximise my fat loss over the next 3 months? I am going to see this top bird so I need to be in top shape...

I can't do any cardio apart from swimming so has anyone got any advice for a good workout? Does swimming actually burn much fat? Any idea what my weights routine should look like?

Thanks,

Dylan

I like getting stronger :-)

I've done the same pal, its a load of mega poop. Well I have had 3 ops in one year now at 21, not fun. Just sack off any exercise until the swelling goes down considerably, then onto the bike making sure the saddle is up enough not to compress the knee, then when that is comfortable the x trainer. I found swimming actually hurt me more when i was kicking etc.

    Good luck!

I used the arm rowers to stop my weight going up, its just a cardio machine but you use your arms basically!most gyms have them!
