L-Arginine

Sick of paying for NO products (they don't really add size), but the pump is pretty addicting. After reading some good reviews decided to just take L-Arginine on its own and save a ton of money. I was just wondering about opinions on the doseage. Each tablespoon is 3 grams, so i was thinking about on training days 1 tablespoon both pre/post workout and 1/2 tablespoon before bed, and on non-training days having 1 tablespoon apon wake and before bed, what do you guys think?

    Actually, just got back from the store to pick some up. Picked up that and Caffine tabs. Tomorrow will be my first day, i think pre workout i will take 3 grams Arg. w/ 1 tab caffine and 3 grams CEE. Post workout i will take 3 grams Arg w/ 3 grams CEE and my whey drink. I will tell you how that works out.

    the doses seem a tad high fella. when i was using AAKG the recomended dose was 1.5g 3 times a day, and on workout days change 1 dose to 3g before workouts.
    i stopped using AAKG after hearing on other boards that some people suffered slight heamorages in their eyes.

    hi mate, 3g twice a day;

    Take first does first thing in morning on empty stomach.

    On workout days take sencond dose 45 mins to 1 hour before workout, again must be on an empty stomach and taken apart from other competing amino's and whole protein sources. Also not a good idea to stack it with caffeine, I havn't got much time to go into that now but I made some pretty big posts in the last few weeks in the supplement section explaining why, so run a quick search on my user id and it'll turn up the relevent data.

    Non-workout days take your second dose mid afternoon, again must be taken on an empty stomach for best effect.

    I've been using arginine and NO supps for the past year with no apparent ill effects, I've heard of the one or two 'horror stories' mentioned on various other boards but I have yet to see anything concrete pinning these effects on the arginine and I'm sure if such horror stories were true it would surely have led to a fairly wide spread message to stay clear, which I haven't seen anywhere.

    some people suffered slight heamorages in their eyes.

    this can happen anyway through extreme exertion , squats for example

    Ignorance: Reassuringly Expensive.
