If you're strong enough for chins then there's no contest surely. When I got strong enough to do weighted chins my lats grew overnight virtually.

If you can chin then do so, if you cant then LPDs are the next best thang.

I get a better feeling doing chins than doing LPD's but must admit there aint many people I see at gym's perform them.Mainly LPD's but suppose each to their own

I love chins so much, do the reverse close grip chins for biceps as it hits them so well..

Totally depends - at the moment I do chins but LPD are also a very good excercise if done correctly, the problem is that most people don't do them correctly.

I'm a chinning man myself, although I will do LPDs from time to time. They certainly helped me to get strong enough to chin properly.

I used to do LPD until I saw the light.

I havent got to doing weighted once yet though.

Why is it easier to do a chin with your legs curled up rather than when they are straight?

Speaking of LPD, is there much difference between doing them in front vs. behind the neck? I have a problem with my shoulder and it seems to hurt a little more when i do them behind the head.
