Lean Xtreme and Depo-Provera

I have currently been following a healthy low carb diet combined with cardio almost every day and weights for over two months now. Unfortunatly I have been unable to lose any weight in this time and my only success was losing an inch on my hips.

I believe my problem is with the Depo-Provera contraceptive injection, which is a progesterone only shot. I think it has caused me to "hold on" to my excess weight and make me unable to lose anything. I only had one injection and decided it was not for me, unfortunatly it can take up to 8 months for it to leave my body completely.

I was thinking of trying Lean Xtreme but then read that it was "anti estrogen", I believe that taking it may not be a good idea as I should be aiming to get my estrogen/prtogesterone levels in balance (I am currently taking a supplement of Evening Primrose Oil to help aid my body in getting my hormonal balance back in order)

Because Depo Provera is progesterone only surely taking an anti estrogen like Lean Xtreme wouldn't be a good idea as it would be promoting more progesterone production, which has caused me this problem in the first place(?)

I am just looking for a second opinion here as I quite confused as to what Lean Xtreme would do for me in this situation.

Thanks in advance for your time,
Leighanne

My girl friend in currently having the Depro jab aswell and has noticed quite a bit of fluid retention and she has put on a few lbs since - this being her 6 month on it.

If i was you id post your full daily diet in the diet forum for comments and help plus post your current regime for assessing by others.

weight loss does take quite some time but you should have lost a few lbs by now being the 2month but an inch loss is good going and you should see more results as you keep chipping away at it.

I wouldnt start using any dietry aid such as fat burners as of yet until you reach that point in the diet where u need to shioft those remaning last lbs...im not totally sure abt the chemical reaction the Lean Xtreme will have on the jab though.

But good luck with it and i hope you do well

It can act as a mild AI, which can upset the menstrual cycle and make the patch/pill ineffective. I'm not sure what effect it may exert on a shot.

I've not yet been to see my GP, they never seem to help much. If the problem persist though, I shall be taking a trip to see the doctor soon.

that what i was thinking whether or not the chemical make up of the jab is that the same as the patch / pill?

    Thanks for your comments :)
The reason I'm concerned is that last year I managed to lose about 2 stone through diet and exersise and this time i'm just at a stand still, which is so frustrating!
Hopefully once the injection wears off, I will be back to my old ways!
