In what context have you been refused legal aid.

What sort of case, what sort of court?

Affray, its in magistrates but looks like it is going to crown. If it goes to crown its ok cos i will not have to pay. its means tested and they said my disposable income is too high.

If it is going to Crown then you will need a barrister, unfortunately i had to have one of these and the hourly price was extremely expensive 150 per hour i think it was, however legal aid paid for half of that, i then had to pay weekly to the local fines office out of my wages.

I was then earning only 250 per week so you should be able to get legal aid do not see why not. Edit oops just seen that you said you will get all your legal aid paid for crown, strange but ok for you.

As regards magistrates you will have to settle for a duty solicitor if you cannot afford one of your own, i think that is how it would work.

???????????? totally bemused by that. Contribution.......yes. Refusal...... No.

Send me a PM with details if you don't want to post anything up. We have bods that have dealt with plenty of legal aid work or CLS work as its known as now. I'll get an answer for you.
