Let's pack on some beef!

Ok, here we go.

After picking up a trapped nerve, which is still bothering me, my physio has given me a bit of a bollocking for packing on mass too quickly, and has suggested I perhaps take up a martial art in the future.

I'm rehabbing the injury now, however should be able to get away with some Vale Tu do technical work 2-3 times a week.

On Top of that, I will be doing my rehab resistance training, and after each session follow that by sprints or light cardio.

Each week, my PT dude who's helping me rehab it will include a new exercise to my routine.

Yesterdays session looked like:

1 medicine ball push ups: 2 x 15
Bosu push ups: 1 x 15 - these hurt a bit!
Cable Pull (low to high): 25kg x 2 x 10
Cable Pull (high to low): 40kg x 2 x 10

Finished by 10 football pitch sprints.

Nice and easy, lemon squeezy!

Is this a perminant injury will it ever go or will it always come back in the future if you started training again?

All the best with the recovery

Had my first session today - well **** me, how humbling!

I felt like the complete n00b, and really tested a couple of guys patience due to my destinct lack of clue!

No niggles though, and feel great for it, so that's a bonus.

PCT is going fine...I don't know how much weight I've lost, but I haven't lost anything on my leg press, and I've still got a sex drive that allows me to wank twice a day, LOL.

General mood is ok, no alarm bells ringing yet, except the first few days...now all is calm.

Have a few days of PCT left I think.

Had a cracker of a session last night, and I'm paying for it today in the cost of a sore coccyx/SI joint after landing on it awkwardly, and stiff wrists!

Worked on under/over hooks, hip throws, passing the guard, kimuras, and a couple of other things.

The warm up was a killer in itself aswell

Back's still hurting, but a physio session Tuesday will sort that out no doubt.

    Weights session yesterday looked like:

Med Ball press ups: 2 x 20 each side, so 4 sets in total
    Cable Pulls: 45 x 10, 50kg x 10, 55kg x 10
    Low to high cable pulls: 30kg x 3 x 10
    Standing OH DB Press: 15kg x 16, 8, 10
    Some other core ****

    Alright mate,

I'm sort of dieting/trimming at the moment for a photoshoot that I hope to get done soon.

Gains from my cycle...well, I got injured, and I still have the nagging nerve problem, so my goals have changed slightly and has given me a new perspective - I will persist with the BJJ, and will be ripped to ****!

I might go back on cycle, but this time NOT get so bloody chubby around the waistline and stay nice and lean.

A typical day's diet looks like: a protein + fat source + fruit and veg, whilst away from training (although I do nibble on rice cakes, and dried fruit occassionally ), and protein + carbs at breakfast, pre workout and post workout.

So get down to a very lean base then cleanly gain with a new cycle????

I suppose it is getting to know your body and no go over board in feeding your surplus. I am decreasing my surplus from today slightly.

What photo shoot are you doing? Personal one?

Yep, I want to see if I can get REALLY lean, and then add REALLY LBM!

I was hoping to get into some fitness modelling, more of the men's health look as opposed to Flex, or Muscle and Fitness!

Day before yesterday I did 7 hill sprints followed by a steady state run...**** me I was dead!

Legs last night, shoulder a bit iffy:

    Leg Press: 260kg x 2 x 8, 200kg x 18
    Smith Split Squat: 50kg x 3 x 10
    Pull throughs: 50kg x 10, 60kg x 10, 70kg x 10
    Ham Curls: 55kg x 2 x 8, 50kg x 8

Did some crunches and glute work.
