Live aboard narrow boat

anyone ever lived on one?..i'm just about to buy one to do just that, live aboard....Any tips or advice would be gratefully received, i've done my boat home work n looking to buy in the New year.

    I think it would depend on how big it is and more importantly where it will be moored for most of the time.
    I can see some local louts/chavs wanting to set fire to it or at least trowing stones at it and smash any windows/port holes.
    I can certainly see some attractions in living in one like upping sticks and moving on to some new pasture when you get tired of the scenery.

    Not done it personally would go mad living on a narrow boat however I did look seriously at buying a converted barge houseboat not he thats which was really nice. Sadly banks won't lend on them the same and the cost of upkeep put me off. That said if I was minted I would do it.
