Looking for a bit of advice

Something I'm starting to look into at the moment but have no idea where or how to start.
I'm 23, about 11 stone and 5ft 10in tall. I've always been active and am a ski instructor full time in the winter since the age of 16 and own my own business which involves a lot of walking around a field. 
 
I'm not looking to enter any competitions or anything like that, I would just like to tone up and gain more muscle (get that 6 pack going). I have no idea what I'm looking at when it comes to calories, protein, routines etc. so perhaps if someone could guide me in the right direct..
 
I do eat a lot of take away foods, mcds, kfcs, curries etc but don't seem to put on any weight so don't need to lose weight, just gain some more muscle.
 
Any tips or guides?

    Look at the sticky posts at the top of the beginner forum for good advice on the basics of training and nutrition.
     
    Remember that any workout you do in the beginning is better than nothing. Find yourself a good basic workout that you enjoy and stick to it for at least 3 months, then re-evaluate and see about introducing other exercises etc.
     
    The nutrition side can be very confusing to begin with, again try to keep it simple. Lay off the take away meals and look to replace them with proper, cleaner meals. There is good  advice on this at the top of the forum. It may take a while to crack your diet, don't be too hard on yourself, but try to plan your meals as best you can so you're less likely to resort to takeaways etc.

    I agree with the above.
     
    Stick to clean whole foods as much as possible, drink plenty of water (more on gym days). find a good workout plan as you're a beginning 5x5 / 531 or something would be a good foundation to start from.
     
    Make sure you're in a caloric surplus say +200-500 calories from your maintanence calories.

    Figure out you BMR, then add 200kcals ontop for a week and weight yourself, if you're not gaining weight then up again, tracking makes things much easier.
