I'd say it depends on your starting BF.
If you're 12% then don't cut first, best to bulk up then cut back
If you're 19% then bulking would be a bad idea as you'd get fat, cut down then bulk afterwards.
I was 19% decided to cut (now 15.5% couple of months later). Hoping to get to 14-15%, then no idea what I'll do.
All depends on your target BF and weight etc
Raw dead Lift 320kg
Raw bench 171kg
Shirted bench 200kg
Amateur cage fighter @ 95 - 105kg
