Losing body fat and gaining lean muscles ;)

Is it only certain steriods that help you lose body fat and build muscle?
 
If so could you name a few?
 
Also how does this work, i understand that steriods promote protein synthesis but how does this effect body fat levels?
 
Also will you body fat decrease even if you eat a large amount of calories?

    The stock answer is that steroids don't cut fat. Not to any notable degree over and above what is achievable with diet/cardio.




    Also will you body fat decrease even if you eat a large amount of calories?


    Absolutely not. If you consume more calories than your requirements, you will store fat. Steroids or no steroids.

    Epistane ran over 6 weeks at 30mg per day with a good, disciplines training and diet regimen did wonders for me. I gained very well, all lean with great definition.

    How come people on here say when they're on their cycle they gained for example 7 lb of muscle and lost 3% of fat. are they lieing?

    if not, then how does one lose fat whilest on steriods and trying to gain mass? cardio in the morning before carbs ? what?

    my personal epi experience, i certainly lost fat, particularly around the waist. I had a very well defined abdomen by mid point of cycle. Epi? Diet? Both?

    I guess the fat that a person had, has been turned into muscle, thus reducing their b/f% and increasing their weight, because as we all know muscle weighs more than fat.

    i think its more to do with the fact that an increase in lean mass would result in increased weight but at the same amount of bofyfat so the bodyfat percentage would be lower due to the increase in weight being from lean mass.

    Generally no, they're not lying. It's perfectly possible to gain muscle and reduce %BF. The most common cause of this happening would be the following.


    Guy weighs 168lb and is 16% bodyfat so has nearly 27lb of fat.

    He gains 12lb on cycle after pct. He has not lost or gained any fat.

    He now weighs 180lb. At this new weight, he still carries 27lb of fat but the % of fat in relation to his new bodyweight is now 15%

    There is another reason over and above what I mention above whereby the user might actually drop the amount of fat he carries, thereby increasing the reduction of %BF. In general on a daily basis you are either in calorie deficit to requirements, or calorie surplus. To add muscle on cycle, people are generally in calorie surplus (or at least calorie neutral in respect of normal daily caloric needs +  what is required to facilitate & support new growth.

    However, there are periods throughout the day where this changes to calorie deficit, before moving into surplus, for an overall daily surplus (or at least overall neutral). The best example of this would be fasted steady state cardio where the body is forced to tap into fat stores, regardless of the overall daily calorie intake.

    These two reasons account for the changes in bodyfat whilst on cycle, not the steroids themselves (although admitedly the do play a very minor role in lipolysis - but much less of a role than some would like to think!!)

    Maybe you didnt mean to make it sound the way it sounded, but it sounds like your saying fat can turn into muscle. Which ofc isnt true.

    I do a lot of push ups and sit ups. And I drink plenty of milk.

    So would you advice if wanting to lose body fat on a cycle, regardless of muscle gain, steady state cardio, fasted in the morning is a good way to do so. Would you also advice doing this on a normal bulk without any steriods etc?
