Lost mobile phone

Done a really stupid thing.  Was so busy at work today, I went into the men's toilet cubicle and took some work documents I needed to read whilst I sat on the bog.  After I finished what I needed to I started looking at my mobile.  I am pretty sure I then placed my smartphone on the toilet roll holder, - finished my business and walked out the cubicle leaving my mobile on the side.

I didnt realise until an hour later.... A lot of stuff gets handed in at reception, and I would hoping that this would be also.  But it hasn't.

Stupidly I didnt have a pin on my phone.

Okay, I still have my health, most of the photos and music was backed up... - but - what is really nagging me is the personal stuff I had on there.  I can just vision the thief reading through all my personal txt messages and things having a laugh at my expense, and, it might be someone that sees me around the place.  To be honest with you, there are REALLY personal stuff on there to do with my girlfriend and I sexually, - some of it really embarrassing!!

It's really f*cked my head up!  If it was just the phone I would think - fine, i've been a c**t - buy a new one - job done.

It's the thought of someone looking through my whole life... and seeing me around the office - knowing - that is really doing my nut int.

I have photos, videos, voice recording, a ridiculous amount of txt messages, - many pretty explicit - all sitting there for his entertainment.

F**k!

    HAHAHA! - You bastuards!

I wouldn't mind someone looking through my sh*t if I actually knew who they were!

I tell you, it's a real invasion of privacy. ... feels like someone knows every intimate detail about me!  It's a bit weird

All my mobile and home phone numbers of my friends family girlfriend, all my conversations - photos, videos of holidays ,weekend away, the girlfriend - there is so much information about me on that damn phone

If I found someone's phone,  hand on heart i would hand it straight in as I know what it means to someone.  For someone not to, I dont think they can empathise, therefore, I dont think this bloke can have much of a life.

Actually the weird thing is,.. and this did cheer me up a little, I was thinking, if I was someone else, and I found my phone, I was putting myself in their shoes and do you know what, I would think: fair enough this bloke has a decent sex life, some great hobbies, good family, goes on holiday a lot...   that might sound boastful, but I actually get down quite a bit and worry about a lot of silly things.... - puts things into perspective.

Hope this c*nt gets some pleasure out of looking at someone else life - C**T.

    There - feel better now

    Yep, you done fcked up.

Now - report the loss to your manager(ess), who hopefully will authorise an email sent to all in your office that your IPhone is lost, and that anyone who ahem 'finds they became, ahem, very, very busy with work right after finding the  device' should leave it at Reception.

That's about all you can do, apart from keep your fingers crossed.  Good luck!!

Email already sent... - nothing back yet...

Weird, if it was JUST a phone - fine - I was careless, fork out money for a new one... but with so much personal stuff on it, it's surprising how attached we become to these things,

I still can't stop feeling annoyed about it, even today... -

Already ordered a new phone, slight upgrade, to try and ease away the pain! LOL :D

    Small or large upgrade?

    Pretty sh1tty all joking aside.
My daughter borrowed my sons iPod touch. Put it down at the local shopping centre. Back 15 mins later and gone.
Gen 2 so not worth much at all, it also had an inscription engraved on the back as it had been a birthday present.

Small'ish.. although I have been reading reviews that it feels like a significant upgrade.  I had a Galaxy Note 2 - which I loved and done everything I wanted.  I was actually going to wait until the Note 5 was well and truely out and priced dropped a little before I upgraded.  I have now gone for a Note 3...

Sorry to hear about your son's ipod.. it's a kick in the teeth from the theif, and all you want to do is kick yourself for the brief moment of forgettfulness / being side tracked.   Financially and sentimentally valuable items which are so small and easily mislaid!
