Low calorie sauce for chicken and rice

I know this has been done to death but I thought I'd get some new ideas.

I'm eating a chicken breast with basmati rice for lunch at work everyday...... I know I should vary my food to keep it interesting but it's easy, relatively cheap and exactly what I need (cals and macro wise).  I've actually got the chicken sorted using one of those Maggie bag things but dry, cold rice is boring.

I need some kind of sauce to mix in with the rice to make things more interesting.  I was adding a bit of mayo........ mayo sorts everything out, but I'm wanting to cut my cals back a little and things like mayo need to go!

Mix some spices or curry powder with a bit of water and drizzle, zero calories

Tobasco sauce, or most hot sauces on the market are low calorie. Always good for a kick.

Fry garlic and chopped onions in olive oil with tabasco, chilli flakes and paprika. Then add diced/ tinned tomatoes..goes well on anything. If i am struggling to get my greens in i will cook my broccoli separately and blend in :)

I've solved this with a genius idea....... cook my rice at work instead of at home and have it warm not cold.  It's still plain but so much nicer when it's warm.

No idea why I didn't think of this in the first place as I use microwave pouch things.

to be honest Trish its not hot at all.  You can buy it in the supermarket but its £1.50 for a little tiny bottle.

Its more flavour than hot. They also sell a xtra hot one, a lime one and a few others but IMHO its not hot at all just a spicy taste sauce. Think Nandos basic one but a different taste its more canyenne

heres the xtra hot one
