Low fat - Inspiration

I'm looking to test out at theory on my cheat meal this weekend, so I'm after low fat (but the carbs shall be high and dirty!).

Just after ideas on what I can buy / cook really...

So far I've drummed up with

  • Load of white paste with a store bought sauce (probably laced with sugar) and some chicken
  • Haribo type sweets etc
  • Doritos (or somethign along those lines) and a dip (again probably laced with sugar)

Not the most inspiring menu, but it's too hot to think!

Red Bull

Roast potatoes? Home made of course.
Hardly worth it if you have to do boiled lol.

I thought of that, but isn't it fat that makes them taste nice?

I think I'd swap the dextrose for haribo!

It's not a carb per se, just a carb focused low fat cheat

I am... but I'm trying to keep to keep longer between refeeds. Basically I'll have a carb up if the weight loss begins to slow down. Been on it for 4 weeks now and still weighing in 3lbs per week, with fat noticeably shifting, so will see how this Monday's weigh in goes. Had cravings for sugary foods and cereals recently so will have a structured blow out next weekend I think. How you getting on mate?

    Hang on..

After four weeks you should only be looking at your second cheat meal?

This early in the game you shouldn't be structuring or planning out your cheat meals mate!

According to the DP thread it's every fortnight in the beginning and then weekly after that, which I thought was a bit excessive. Hence dragging it out. Maybe I read it wrong...

How are you structuring yours fella?

below are some of my favourite very low fat high carb foods, if your looking for something other than 'good' carbs

    meringue with fruits
    yoo moo frozen yogurt
some of the weight watchers puddings are very low far but full of carbs and sugars (rubbish for dieters but perfect for what you want)
steamed sponge puddings, especially golden syrup ones.
soreen malt loaf (just the right ratio of carbs and small amount of protein)
    haribo sweets

Dazc, are you saying that 'dirty' carbs are better then clean carbs for a refeed?

I don't think i would satisfied for long on sugary carbs and would end up feeling hungry very shortly after eating these dirty carbs.

Oldy - I think he was referring to the fact that I said I wanted high carb but dirty (for psychological reasons)..

Daz - you're bang on with the weight watchers stuff and steamed puddings. Became a staple for me the last month or so

    You still rocking this Calza?

    Any updates?

I had a carb up last night but it was woeful due to my poor sauce selection.

No Mate I came off not long after that post!

Around 16 weeks, went from 106kg to 89kg currently (and seems stable). I'm actually having trouble balancing calories for PCT (2 weeks off meds now). I'm upto 3250 / day and thinking that's keeping me stable.

Ahh man that sucks, there is nothing worse than taking a gamble and getting it wrong on cheat day.

Thanks for letting me know mate. That's quite a weight drop though, must have been one hell of a transformation mate?
