unfortunately not, oxides tend to be one of the least available form of vitamins and minerals.

I have solgar magnesium citrate, mainly because that's what they had in the shop when I needed some although I do find that generally the solgar range seem very good they aren't the cheapest.  I believe that magnesium gluconate is rated as the most bio available but they all increase magnesium levels.

some people like to rotate which version they are using from time to time.  If your buying one then id probably just say whatever works out a decent price from a supplier/brand you can trust (I would stay away from unknown brands on things like amazon and ebay)  however I probably wouldn't buy the oxide as other more available versions aren't much more cost.

Cheers Daz. Really useful stuff - just checked out the Solgar range.

How much do you reckon per day - around 1g?

depends on diet really, and what you get from that.  Personally I use 400 or 600mg depending on diet (surplus of deficit) before bed
