MAX OT - anyone tried it?

How did you get on with it? How do you rate it? Etc?

I used to walk into a room full of people & wonder if they liked me..... Now I look around & wonder if I like them

i read about it and tried it for a while but my gym doesnt have enough weight or compounds ect but people dotn rate it the same as the people of the site do its just "another routine" to most people .. i like the principles but will switch from a 4-8 to 6-12 rep range every 16 weeks or so moderation imo

I'm 6 weeks into it, find it OK, making gains, but sometimes don't feel absolutely shagged after each session. I'm going to plug on til the end of the program and then decide my next steps.

i use to do it but feel that training 5 days on the bounce is too much. also with those rep ranges 4-6 i didnt get much of a pump on most exercises.

a good pump isnt necessaraly an indicator of a good workout, and 1-5 rep range is great for strength and for some ppl growth too

i like heavy weight low rep but i also use 8-12 rep sets in my routine also for more hypertrophy stimulation

Very true pal, but i didnt feel like i got much growth from it so i now stick with 6-12 reps and go for failure somewhere inbetween

sure i appreciate everyone will respond diff to various rep ranges and I encourage everyone to experiment with rep ranges. i find hittin each bodypart 2x per week or once every 4-5 day rotating heavy/low rep with lighter/high reps, obviously using low-moderate volume each time.

also, for many lifters, failure isnt necersary, in fact can be a negative thing. stopping 1-2 reps shy of failure still yelds results without trashing the cns.

i sometimes only go to failure on my last set of an exercise......sometimes

i'm doing MAX-OT now. I'm a noob so i'm doing things like try to get my diet right too.

I like it. I'm training at home with Powerblocks and am able to get my routine finished on time, which is quite important as i do monday to friday.

I'm about to go into weeks 5-8 which will be the first time i've varied anything.

I do like the short brutal heavy burst-ness of it.
