They are only advertising in Fitness First I believe to encourage females and ethnic minorities who are under represented......and as if someone would tell you
That is a very dangerous thing to do, to start introducing political correctness into the security of our country.
Just employ whoever is best for the job, dont look at colour, race etc etc, just go solely on apllication basis only so that they can pick out the best applicants and it has nothing to do with race, ethnicity etc etc.
The fact that they want to employ 'more ethnic minorities' means that they are racist, that really its not about the people with the best ability, really its about selecting a certain amount of each racial group in the uk...this is pathetic. Why do they have to employ 'more' of one so called (according to them) 'group of people'?
Lets say that there are no ethnic minorities and everyone is seen as a 'human being'...the applications are marked only on ability.
I say that there should be no questions asking you on race or ethnicity, (just put a contact adress and a personal number, not even a name because one can take a guess at ones ethnicity from ones name). Then it is impossible to be racist in any way or form because all the judge can see are various white forms with black writing on...it is marked solely on ability then.
When the government start introducing extreme political correctness into things like mi5 it has become a sad sad day for free speech and for true multicultural society.
Have a form with a candidate number, like an a level examination, where you dont put your name, or your race.
What next? 'We need more women and ethnic minorities to be getting better degree results, so we will ask them what race and gender they are on their examination form and then mark them accordingly'...NO!!! Everybody gets a number, no mention to race, no mention to colour or gender etc etc, then everybody is judged equally.
