You grow outside of the gym mate! The training is only a small part of the whole process. Rest and diet IMO are the real growth factors. You could hammer your shoulders say, doing many sets, but the majority of the sets would be a waste. It is as soon as you are out of the gym and you get the perfect balance of training/rest/ and most importantly diet sorted that you will grow. Feel free to set me straight, as I have said it is just my opinion!
