RE: Martial Arts and weights
I'm no expert but from reading other similiar posts I would say that training 3 days a week with weights is too much if you are focusing on martial arts (especially since 5x5 is quite intense). You probably want to concentrate on a two day weight program low reps with the focus on explosive lifting, compound movements and possibly some olympic lifting. Do a search for martial arts on this site and you will find quite a bit of advise also have a look in the power and strength forum.
