May i ask a little advice please....

Hi gang, been a long time now since i was last in the gym as i suffered a torn flexar tendon (excuse spelling) and more resently (just over a year) i have been having massive lower back problems ( hosptal xrays psyio etc etc)

They have now come to the conclusion that they agree something, maybe nerves ( sciatic nerve trapped maybe) but cant find anything major wrong !

A year of my life wasted and about 3 stone of fat as i havent been able to walk properly run nothing....

I have now signed back into a gym with a personal trainer ( bhaa humbug Lol)

Im back training on Monday and to be honest i really cant wait but am very apprehensive am i still have nerve pain in my lower back and groin....

Any advice really ?

One other question, what is now regarded as the best whey protein to buy please ?

Many Thanks guys....

Clint

    Welcome to the forum Clint

With regards to protein have a read of this article-http://www.muscletalk.co.uk/article-whey-protein-guide.aspx  this will help you choose what is best for you.

With regards to your training, know your own limits.  As you get back into it you will find exercises that suit you that can work around the problem.  Make sure your personal trainer is clued up on your particular problems, so he can guide you.  Good luck with it!

I would suggest whey concentrate- the cheapest but still very effective, and generally the most popular. You dont want to splash out on any expensive powder unless something goes wrong seeing as your coming off an injury and are apprehnsive. Get a nice cheap one from somewhere like myprotein.co.uk or bulkpowders.co.uk
