Media hub/ PC

I live in a pokey little bedsit.

I have a big work desk with my PC and 2 screens.

Where the bed is (parallel/opposite) I'd like to have a third PC screen to act as a "TV" connected to the PC so I can use one machine for browsing/watching films from two locations, ie, share the same desktop, browser, stored media.

What is the best way to do this?

My sticking points are:
-some kind of remote to switch to the third screen without changing settings (unless I keep all 3 active at once I guess)
-some kind of remote to switch HDMI inputs so I can switch between console and PC without getting up(I would assume some kind of simple IR 2 way switch exists but not sure?)
-managing the sound system (one amp with 2 sets of speakers to flick between?)
-a second keyboard w/ touch pad to use in bed, with both working without the need to unplug one or the other

I'm probably asking too much for one system tbh. I would consider 2 separate PCs if I had some kind of shared media centre/HDD that both could access easily.

I have a Raspberry Pi I planned to set up as a media centre but it's not really powerful enough. Any other geek ideas welcome. I use my PC a lot but it'd be nice to lie in bed and watch boxsets/films on a larger, better placed screen without lots of messing about.

You could get a bare bones pc and use that. Or simply a hdmi splitter to connect to your tv and then use a wake-on-LAN command to bring it out of sleep. From there there's plenty of ways to control a PC remotely
