Helps sleep , generally available off ebay or can buy over counter in US (unless that was changed recently)

For me it 100% helped sleep on times I have taken it but does make me wake up with a sort of hung over feeling , or perhaps better described as just takes me a few minutes longer to get going in the morning and large cup of coffee is required .

    Only used occasionally but helpful

    1. yes, lethal dose is huge, way beyond the effective dose
    2. As far as I know, ebay
    3. take it, 20mins later you just feel like you are nackered, like you have had a real long hard day without much sleep the night before, it doesnt knock you out. Only side effect is that you don't want to get out of bed in the morning, but once you're up you should feel fine. I beleive studies show the effective dose is around 0.3mg but most tablets are sold in the 3mg. This isnt a problem as its nowhere near the lethal dose, but just got the smallest tablets you can find as it will save £££. You dont get more of effect if you take more.

Very good anti oxidant, can help with sleep patterns too. I don't get any groggines next day at all at 3-6mg a night.

Go here for a good UK source!

Do people take it every night?

What factors determine whether you'll take it from one night to the next?

    3. Used it but dont really rate it, find vallium works much better for me.

    lol.

diamorphine is even more effective, and then if you want a total guarantee then a general anesthetic is surely the way to go, but come on eh, valium, as a comparative? i'd say these havey weight drugs (valium included) are hardly the right thing to compare it with wouldnt you?

melatonin does work ak88 and has advantages over alot of stuff, even the wild stuff above this sentence believe it or not. it wont knock you for six which is no bad thing, and the sleep feeling that it does cause is a totally natural one, which it should be, because melatonin is actually what you own body produces to induce sleep in the first place. a very effect supplement IMO.

there appears to be no insidences of resistance to the drug either, so when 3mg works the first night, you can pretty much expect it the same effect and next night, and the next, and so on. it is a POM in the UK and if you go into H&B asking for it you might get the odd scare story, but doctors that i have spoken with on the matter assure me that problems with melatonin are next to none, so you have little to worry about, though individual GP/specialist opinion on how effect it is in adults is a little all over the place. stuff like this can be very much a personal thing though so give it a go.

one thing worth mentioning though, is the cause of the sleep problems is the place to start the fix, not the supps counter. i know that aint always easy, but if your going to use melatonin, try and counter that reliance with some active work to fix the cause of the problem in the first place, as this is by far the best way to help achieve a good sleep pattern, not OTC or POM drugs. doing thos will also give you some peace of mind internally that your not turning to meds to sleep and your doing something about it, which in turn will aid sleep in itself.

there my views on it anyway
