*** Members' Interview with Lambo***

Lambo has not posted much yet but he has written a couple of training articles for MT and is part of the MT crew.  You will have seen him helping out on the MT stand.

The usual things apply: please use this topic to ask him any questions about  lifestyle, training, diet and progress, or anything else.  Please, nothing too personal or invasive. Please bear with him and give him time to reply.

Lambo, thanks for agreeing to take part in this interview.

1) Can you give us a brief rundown of how you got into working out and how long you've been training?

2) You have trained with Daz Ball a few times now, what's the best training tip he has given you?

3) Do you think you will compete next year?

4) If you could travel anywhere, where would you choose?

Thanks!!
Lambo is on the far right in the photo!

    Lambo,

Do you believe it's necessary to squat, bench and deadlift to progress as a bodybuilder?

Do you prefer training heavy or relatively lighter for higher reps?

What sort of routine do you follow for arms?

What do you do for a living? Is it BB related? (Not sure whether being part of the MT team is your job or not)...

    2. are you natural or not?
    3. Who do you think will win the 2009 Mr Olympia?
    4. What direction would you like to see the male UK bodybuilding seen to go in?
    thank you for your time

Just to let you all know about Lambo:

He is part of the MT crew and does a hell of a lot for the promoting the site behind the scenes, although he doesn't post here much.  He comes to some of the gym visits, seminars and photo shoots with Daz and others on Team MuscleTalk - helping out and making sure they have everything they need.

He works for MT and all my business affairs as the general helper to Hazel and I - once a week he drives over to Daz at Leicester to make sure he has all he needs, and will be doing this for Luke Nichols as well.

He was a huge help at the Body Power Expo helping on the Main MT Stand and the MT-Flex Pex Bettle Zone.  I know many guys chatted to him there and he made quite an impression.

Lambo has been a close personal friend of mine for several years, part of which he reluctantly spent at HM pleasure unfortunately, during which time he wrote this excellent article which I know several guys have benefited from - he wrote this while inside and it was actually uploaded to MT at that time: Improvising Your Training in Prison.  Since Lambo has been out (around 18 months ago) he's made great gains in the gym and also now has a baby daughter who he adores.

Although Lambo is always the recipient of the banter jokes, he's a great guy and YOU are lucky to have him on the MT crew.  So don't waist this interview with him!

(Let's hope this gets him posting more!)

    hey hazel,

thanks for askng me to do this interview, it might just get me posting abit more now lol lol

1 i got into training when i was 15 years of age, i got kicked out of school and really had no mates my own age and didnt really knowwhat i wanted to do.. my brother in-law chris andrews got me in to training and once i started at the gym i couldnt stop.. i got a job as a glass collector in a local club then started to hoo up with the doorman down the gym. the gym now is a big part of my life not because of just wanting to look good but ive made some of the best friends you could ever have and its a god social life too.

2 daz ball i havt known for that long maybe 5 or 6 months, however it feels like 2 years.. hes a great guy and ive been very lucky to have been able to train with him on more than oe occasion now.. the most important thing daz has taught me is if you work hard enough at something sooner or later you will achieve your goal, never give up (always come back like a boomerang ) as he says lol lol ..

3 daz and james think its a good idea if i did compete next year, so i might give it ago, maybe just a local show like the mr peterborough but this year im gonna spend trying to get as big as i can.. and so far so good with thanks to my training partner stuart buckby, as ive made the best gains and been pushing pb's because of him..

4 if i could live anywhere france, because its the place to be!! lol

    hi badboy 007

1 no i dont, there are 100's of exercises you can do to get just as goo gains. i do bench but i dont sqaut and i dont deadlift i just substitute with something else.. like hack squats hamstring curls leg extentions etc

2i prefer to do more reps, im a body builder not a power lifter and although im pretty strong, going up in weight doesnt bither me at all, i just want a pump

3 i train triceps with chest and biceps with back i always do betwen 3 and 4 exercises for each muscle and always a dropset after every last set..

4 no, doing jobs for mt isnt my main job but i do love doing it and being part of such a powerful growing team.. in the day im training to become an electrician so i do alot of work on site, i also have an online motorbike information site/forum called www.talking-bikes.co.uk.. however i most enjoy working for the mt team, the perks are great i get to train with champions and get to know them personally, i get to travel the country and go to all the top shows, its just great being part of this industry.. and iowe it all to my good friend james collier as hes done alot for me especially over the last 18 months..

    hi joe

1 i would like to say i eat correctly but i dont really, i have my protein drinks through out the day but i also eat alot of rubbish, however im of season and i train hard, what motivates me in the gym is my training partner stuart buckby, he is awsome, always on time and were always in the zone. i travel 70 miles to train with stuart hes a good lad.. my training advice, and protein in take comes from james collier hes the best in the country with out a doubt and im lucky to be involved

2 at some oint in this game you need to decide if you want to take the next step to be the best you can be and i do everything i can to achieve that

3 realisticly jay cutler, but i hear my idle lee priest will be entering, now that would be a result!!

$ im not saying this because he a friend but because ive seen him work and know how he opperates, james collier will push the uk bodybuilding scene to limits its never reached before mark my words, he has big plans and unlike some people i know 100% hes in know way in for just personal gain, what ever he does is in the best interest of the sport

    Hi, mate,

Looking pretty solid, great balance. what are your stats and what are your (short term) goals baring in the mind the potential desire for competing next year?

could you give us a typical days food intake in terms of type of foods and amount? I'm sure not every day's exactly the same, but what would be typical?

also do you eat anything as snacks between meals if you get a craving? if so what?

    cheers

I wish I was more attractive like Dagless.
