Oh, dude, what a day. I always find if people are d1cking about on something I make sure to let them know I'm waiting, more often than not they tend to clear the way especially if you start loading a good bit more than them on as they usually can't be arsed helping out between sets LOL

I drives me mad when people are so inconsiderate to fcuk around on kit and do set after set. I have to politely wait as it is my gym but I will always ask if they have many sets left, which seems to move them along more quickly.

I used to over analyse everything due to trust issues with previous partners but as difficult as it is, you need to realise that not everyone is going to hurt you. There is no easy solution but you are doing the right thing by opening up to your wife about it. She will at least understand some of your frustrations.

Your condition is very good and we will work on improving your poses when I get the feedback video to you. You need to be more confident with your poses and open up more. This is something I will explain in more depth for you. In fact, I will start doing the voice over now and aim to get it over to you tomorrow.

Another good session despite not feeling it. If you can smash progress out like this when you are not in the mood, imagine when you are.

It's interesting as my ex cheated but I have never, and will never, doubt my wife. But with her past she's never likely to cheat.

Can't moan about set hoggers as I can use something for a good half hour on a big week. But I'm alone so others can easily mix in

I'll always ask how many sets they have left, even if I've only been waiting 10 seconds lol. If it's any longer than 3 sets I'll move on and come back. Does seem to speed people up though.... or maybe it's the groin stretching just inside their personal space LOL

Nice work though mate.

I think what doesn't help is that I'm an impatient, selfish, miserable twat with borderline personality disorder, extreme emotions that can barely be kept in check and, and, and, I think that's it.

I just get on with it. I don't take my phone into the gym, so I don't text in between sets, nor do I chat or smile in-between sets. So, being the grumpy git I am, I resent it when having to wait for others to do that.
Trust: I've always trusted my wife and been totally secure, it's only recently, with my stupid high hormones, that my mind has gone mad. She knows and seems to understand. Either that or she's FVCKING LYING!!!! Either way, I'll probably drive her away in the end.
I didn't feel it today either and I'm not much looking forward to tomorrow's Lower 2 sessions, with it's high-rep squats followed by high-rep leg press. Especially as my lower back is still tender.
Got the vid, cheers. Worked on it last night and will do it on training days from here on, so four days a week.

PCA keep putting out updates and the competition is now 70% full, meaning there are going to be LOADS of competitors. The PCA London standard was sh1t hot, with some of those athletes going on to compete all over the world. You know the feeling you get when you might have bitten off more than you can chew...

I normally do that but on this occasion I thought it would be much more mature to sit there and sulk.

04/01/19 – CHECK-IN

Last week’s weight: 194.8lbs
This week’s weight: 196.4lbs

Last week’s waist: 32in
This week’s waist: 32.5in.

Calories being pulled again this week. Last week we went from 5027 on training days to 4546. This week, which on Sunday marks 12 weeks out, we are reducing cals a little further. Nothing dramatic, just pulling a few carbs here and there. I gained weight this week which means I almost certainly lost a load of water over Christmas as I must have eaten under maintenance when off plan Christmas Day. That’s what happens when you’re not in a routine. Still, nothing to be concerned about.
Dan happy with my condition but, guess what, I think I look dreadful and can’t see how I’m going to be ready, let alone competitive. I don’t believe I look like a bodybuilder. The past week I have had serious dysmorphia and self-loathing, even down to the point where I hate the way my voice sounds and how I approach conversation.
Still, I’ve been told I need to trust Dan and that’s what I’m going to do. Having him on board has been priceless so far. I’ll do a proper review in due course.
I had my head in a calm place mentally, competition wise anyway, about a week or so ago. But I’ve had to think about it recently because I’ve needed to book a hotel for the night before and think about tanning etc. This has made me anxious about the whole affair and I’ve run through my time on stage endlessly again. With that comes raised hopes, which must be banished because it is equally likely that I will not secure the top three place I clearly covet so much. So I need to dump expectation again.

Physical changes you won't 'see'. You would have to make obscene gains to visually notice it yourself especially over a short to medium time frame. If you are getting more work done over time it is more than likely you are growing and that is why you need log books

Posing has improved greatly in the 2nd video I have received. Over the next few weeks we will have the compulsories very strong which will present a much better look than you have been used to seeing.

In terms of where we are at now, I am very pleased. There is very little fat anywhere apart from the stubborn area which is the lower ab region. I have dropped a few more calories this week which should see things tighten up.

We will be dropping Deca out soon too. This will be a double edged sword as I have no doubt some fullness will go but I also think it will tidy the mid section up too.

Still no need for cardio, though I do like to include it.

I see their is a lot of self doubt still there mate anxiety just murders our self confidence and its bloody hard to get into a positive state of mind.Still standby what I said as someone who suffers from this myself what you are doing is unreal just getting your ass on stage is a huge achievement whether you place or not is by the by in my books.

We have a amazing ability of predicting the future which is never good its always worst case scenario but always turns out to be bullsh1t just try to bear this in mind and take even the smallest forward as a positive its hard mate I really do know but we have to find something to try and get our confidence back any small positive can really help and stop us getting bogged down in the negatives.

Yeah, Im working on the posing tweaks and will get a vid back to you this week. Hopefully the tightening up will improve my lack of positivity about my body. My waist already feels smaller having dropped cals - but to be cutting on 4100 is something I'm not used to! Granted it drop to 3000 on non-training but incredible to think I'm in a position to cut fat on such a high number.
The tweak to compounds will be interesting too.

And oh yes, the one thing I'm actually good at is predicting the future and what people are really up to. My mind has all that nailed.
Thanks for what you have said. It is appreciated.

2 days late is not a little late, that's just plain slack arsing [:]

Are you suggesting I have a slack arse?

RAD#1
Self doubt is always there its whether we buy into it or not that counts
Some serious graft going on there mate 68kgs on tricep pushdowns for 20 reps my arms would fcukin burst LOL

I buy in to everything my mind tries to tell me, mostly that everyone is trying to pull the wool over my eyes.

Tuesday 08/01/19 - LOWER 1

NOTE: Abomination. Been on a few day shifts, so have to train in evening. Gym was fecking rammed. Some bloke decided he needed the leg press for 2,572 years so had to switch it until the end of the workout...when yet more fecking people were on it. Ended up having to improvise and do the machine leg press instead, where you press straight ahead rather than up at an angle. Very odd. Couldn't do lunges either. Just no room to breathe. Hated the entire experience.
