Very good! Can't believe how quickly he has achieved this! Some people train a lifetime and never get near this condition! Well done mate.

Good to catch up with your training progress... Absolutely awesome mate!!

Strength is really flying up now with the introduction of Tren but I want you to be mindful of injury. On your back off sets, there is no shame in reducing the load a bit more and really dialling in on technique.

Cheers Dan. Yes, my strength is improving on pretty much every lift, despite me dropping the weight and resetting form to slow each movement right down.

Without a doubt, that waist is killer, you can already see obliques and serratus and he's not even showing them off LOL Upper body separation increasingly evident.

Cheers gents. I'm starting to believe I can do well.

This week’s waist: 30.5in.

Weight falling off me fast. No reduction in cals this week but cardio up to 40min daily.

The best news, however, is that we are experimenting with another refeed to push carbs further. Dan believes I’m fairly depleted anyway and, the way training has fallen due to half-term, means by tomorrow night I’ll have done three days on non-training diet of about 35g carbs.
Therefore, I’m being forced to eat the mother of all dirty carb ups – same large Domino’s, but this time with loads of large cookies and a shed loads of haribos. My god I cannot wait.

Oh no, that carb up sounds awful, however will you cope!

You've put in the work so those reward days are really earned.

Those pics look awesome. Even the master of negativity that is Eugene must be proud of what he sees?

I'm interested in the dirtyness of the carb up. Whenever I used to go that route (not anywhere near contest shape incidently lol) my high card up were very much that, carbs, usually wholesome but never 'dirty' as such

Yes mate, I've started to believe that I *could* become a fairly successful competitor on the amateur circuit. Perhaps. We will see how this comp goes. But I can see the aesthetics now.

We tried just the pizza last week and it barely made a difference. Dan will give you more details I'm sure but even this one, despite wanting to sleep and feeling slightly uncomfortable with it all being in one sitting did not cause spilling. I only managed the 200g of hairbos tho rather than double that!

A 'dirty' carb up / 'sh!t load' is certainly not what I advocate for the large majority of people. Eugene, is still on fairly high carbs and requires a lot too. I feel that his condition affords us the opportunity to experiment and with different types of carbing up protocol.

When we went with medium to high GI, it barely made a dent, so adding fats was an attempt to slow things down. Even that didn't do as much as I think he can tolerate, so we pushed the sugars up along with more fats. The reason for the food choices was 2 fold. To get a massive influx of carbs with a smaller volume of food and a treat / reward to help mentally.

The likelihood is that the carb up will be clean but we know if theres room for more the night before the show, we throw in a pizza for example and it won't completely screw digestion or his look.

I personally couldn't get away with it as I would have distension and digestive issues for a few days after.

Would the high sodium contents of take away pizza etc be of concern or not a worry?

I just find I can't beat the vascularity and 'pump' I get just from ramming in the sugars, complex or nah... it even freaked my son out a bit LOL

Did you fully enjoy the carb up or did it feel almost like a chore? Sounds like a good reward for the hard work and good part of plan. What biscuits were they? Choc chip cookies??
How long till comp now?

No, I enjoyed it. I had to stop eating the sweets at the end though, as I just did not want them any more. Next day, I was ready to eat the whole lot again. The cookies are the ones you get in a bag of five from Tesco.
