Mike Joseph-Bench press king

Got a DVD about this bloke today,he`s drug-free,bloody strong and one hell of a raw bench presser. The DVD`s not bad,no ground breaking info on there though.

Anyone else got this DVD?

Got the video last year. He's impressive, but thought the production values were very poor and the video offered little in the way of instruction/guidance for aspiring lifters.

Just goes to show that it's very difficult to tell how strong someone is from their appearance.

182lbs with a 17.7% bodyfat isn't exactly an impressive physique. That's a hell of a lift at that weight though.

Good, yes, phenomenal, no. Jason Irving used to do 170 raw at 67.5. I'm doing about 70% over bodyweight and I'm in my 50s, so I'd expect a good open category bencher 100K or below to do at least twice bodyweight.

says he hurt his shoulder in a 24 hour bp comp.

What is that about then, apart from the obvious.

A team of guys competed in a 24 hour continuous Bench Press competition that resulted in them getting in the Guinness book of records.

I agree that it`s quite an amateur production. It didn`t tell me anything that I didn`t already know(strong front delts and triceps will help your BP,don`t over-train,eat well.etc) but it`s impressive as hell to see a drug-free lifter lifting big weights like that with proper form as well!
