Mirror or Camera?

Which is more reliable for giving an accurate representation of your body? I find I look completely different in mirrors compared to cameras, anybody know the reason for this? How do you judge your physique, mirror or camera?

Mirror mirror on the wall... who's the best one of all?

    erm thet'd be me then!!

In answer to your question, I think the difference comes through the lighting at the time, natural lighting will give you a different appearence to artificial etc

    Totally agree with Kitty,
I got photos down there on Saturday and i was really discusted with them, really smoothed me out.
At the minute i have all my abs showing and they where none excistent in the photos

    Mirror for me

I see my body as an instrument, rather than an ornament.

depends on the lighting, one mirror always makes me look small but fat, another makes me look ripped and muscular.

I use mirror, scales, amount of weight I can lift, body measurements to access progress

    170K Squat
    110K Bench
    225K Deadlift

cameras aren't as good because they don't 'see' the same as a human eye. ie, it's just one lense. where as in a mirror you're actualy seeing yourself through your own eyes..so to speak

    mirrors are better imo

    start - 8 stone 7 lbs
    current - 10 stone 1 lb

A camera is more similar to how other people see you when they look at you.

The choice as far as judging yourself is purely a personal one imo. You could use camera, mirror, both, or nothing.

camera for me, too many variables with a mirror, as in you can look different. My G/F only likes certain mirrors! lol

The flash on a camera can take away from a muscular appearance. light from above or from the side makes me look better as the light casts shadows from muscles.
