Mobile phones in gyms...

I know there have been several threads on this recently I think but this one has to take the biscuit, just got back from the gym where an instructor was showing a new member around, doing exercises etc and all the while he was busy texting on his mobile, practically ignoring the lady he was supposed to be inducting. She was visibly pi$$ed off but probably too polite to say anything....

How rude & unprofessional is that?!!!

The little runt and his mobile ought to be squashed under a heavy dumbell!!!!

U should have walked over and said u noticed his very unprofessional approach to the client and told him u were gonna report him for it.
I dont think people should be playing with phones in the gym, fair enough...use them if absolutely necessary but it really p1sses me off if people sit all over the kit for ages as they send texts/talk to their friends on the phone!
Its not just themselves whos training is governed by it!

it p1sses me off just when members are using their phones in the gym, never mind instructors. The gym is for hard training and concentration, not for killing time and texting your mates. end of.

I keep my phone on me round the gym, but then with family and kids who knows.

As an instructor it really pisses me off when you are showing someone and their phone goes...... and they answer it!!! - but for an instructor to do it is deplorable (SP?)

i can understand some poepl bringing them in, families, need to be in contact, thats fine cause they will only use whrn they nedd to, which would be rarly.

Although yesterday some young fella was in the gym and phone started ringing.........i was never so happy to hear that fookin frog in my life.........dont think hell be bring it with him again.

But i would simply report that instrusctor he was bang out of order, its his job for fcuks sakes!

Im truly amazed at how clicky you lot are...you should be so focused as you dont know whats going on around you when your lifting (i know i am)...how do you hear the phones over the music in the gym anyway...erm you do have music right or is that a distraction to

Agree with that comment S_T_E_F and TBH I usually don't notice them but am currently re-habing my shoulder following surgery so haven't been able to train with the intensity I normally would, hence I noticed the sh$t going on with the mobile....
