More Power No Size

Well the subject pretty much states it, ive been training for a new wrestling season coming up this winter/fall and am only going for power and strength, size is not my main concern. However, with the summer just starting and some trips to the beach planed I would like to see more size added on because it seems im only getting stronger, not appearing stronger. I am improving a lot in the strength catagory but wanted to simply ask if there are any chest exercises that I would benefit from by adding it to my routine.

Heres my chest/tricep day

BB Bench 4x8
DB Bench 3x8
Incline DB Bench 3x8
Weighted Dips 3x8
Skull Crushers 3x10
Then a press machine that u add free weights too (no cables) that I like to end on 3x10

Any exercises too add? Thanks.

the articles section contains an optimising your power:weight ratio

for strength many advocate reps of 5 and below- inclusing reps 1-3! 8 is getting into hypertrophy range

would suggest that you have more than enough exercises and may not even need bothdips & skulls. also if your a wrestler chest probably isn;t a major group anyway- deads & squats would be far more useful

Ok thanks...I def agree with you about chest not being a big concern with wrestling, squats is number 1 easilly...Its more of an ego thing between me and my wrestling mates with the bench and such.
