Morning workout/Afternoon workout?

I normally workout in the morning 06:30 - 07:30 but ocaisionally when I have a day off work i'll go in the afternoon and have a lay in. Now obviously I feel more energetic in the afternoon because i've got more energy stored in my body from food i've eaten during the day but i've notice I can lift a good 15-20kg more in the afternoon than I can in the morning. From experience can anyone say if morning workouts will hinder my progress and gains because of this reason? I much prefer working out in the morning but if it will be more worth while changing to the afternoon I will.

Only if you don't eat to sustain this. If you are waking at 6.15 and jumping straight into weights, you will struggle. Adapt your diet and sleep to suit, or train later.

    Unaffiliated.

I use to enjoy training early. Made the day last longer and felt good. Sometimes I do feel stronger in the afternoon especially after a meal but find that the day wastes away..
All in all if I could I would work out mornings rather then afternoons.

Will this slow my gains down considering I can comfortably llift a lot more weight in the afternoon? The gym's always really busy after work which is the only other time I can make it so morning is much better. I might change to afternoons and see how my gains differ
