Motivation4training gone

I split up with a long term bf about 3 weeks ago and my training has gone to the gutter. I was on a diet to loose sum fat before trying to gain a bit of muscle.

Since the split, i found myself having to find sumwhere to live and been going out every single night and away every weekend. moving flat next week so life is prety chaotic @ the mo.

Also completely lost my appettite and been living of alcohol (while having a pretty good time admitedly ) But have lost quite a bit of weight in the process.

Finding it prety hard to get myself motivated to go to the gym again. anybody gone through something similar?how you get ur motivation back?

Oh, also started smoking again after having quit two years ago

take a stand back and run as fast as you can towards the wall lol joking

Stressfull things like this will make you lose interest m8 you just need to keep yourself above water...ditch the booze and the smokes...get everything sorted living wise...get down the gym + give ur selff a good slap and train hard!!!

Then get yourself out and find another partner and put the past behind you.

you don't need a partner. just live like me...nice and lonely. i get along fine with no distractions. sorry if this seems like bad advice but seriously. you'll feel better...maybe

Chinup, your just a bit depressed - you'll get over it and when you do you'll get back into the swing of tihnngs again and you'll be better for it.

You want an incentive? imagine the look on your ex-boyfs face when he sees you all slim with a tight body - and he realises he made a mistake.

Knock the smoking on the head, if you've done it once you do it again.

    Good luck

i dont knows whos fault the split was but either way it should not put a stop to your normal routine where training is involved, like the last guy posted, imagine the look on his face, every guy out there wants a girl with the motivation to train, to work hard for what they want, and you had that so why not have it again. fit girls are hot even if there not fit if you know what i mean?? pick yourself up and pick up thoses weights again, best of luck.

this isint directed at you cause i have no idea what you look like, and im sure your very attractive but what i ment was, girls with a fit body and not so nice face are still going to be rated highly in most guys books. but as i said im sure you have the complete package.

nah, training is just a hobby. Ive always liked keeping fit and have just been getting more into it these last two years. wanted a toned body not a skinny anorexic looking one. i guess looking good and being healthy are (or was) my motivation

Went through the same thing. Dunno what happened, but just looked in the mirror one day and didn't like what i saw, so I sorted it out. There was no one thing I said to myself to change it. It will just happen.

well no matter what anyone says in here, or what anyone tells you in the pub, the motivation has to be your own. only you will lift if you want to. obviouly you still would like to seen as your posting here about it, but hey, your decision.
