Moving the dirt

"Training is like moving a big ass pile of dirt. Some days you use a shovel, some days you use a spoon but as long as you move some dirt everyday, you're headed towards your goal." John Welbourn

Well then.

Haven't trained since mid-November and diet has been dreadful - loads of stress (house stuff and family illness), injuries etc.

In absolutely shameful condition as a result (again) so the main priority has to be shifting some flab (again).

Currently suffering with some pain down the back of my left leg after a drunken NYE incident. It's gradually easing off but first few days I could barely walk, drive or take a dump so training will be a challenge, just going to do what I can for now.

Going to treat the next few months as an unofficial SUC but not going to post any pics just yet lol.

Training will be Upper/Lower+FB Conditioning done 3-4 times a week, mix of rep ranges. 16/8 leangains style dieting with bulk of carbs peri-workout. Basically all the stuff I know works well for me if I put in the effort.

Pain free but hammy still very tight. Should be OK squatting now I think but deadlifts may be a while yet :(

Drunken wrestling with my mate...who's got 5" and about 2 stone on me lol

Nice easy session tonight, haven't squatted or cleaned in a couple of months so kept things light. Hamstring felt OK.

Tried some dips but shoulder wasn't having any of it so they're now off the menu along with BB Bench.

What happened to shoulder?

40 ring pull-ups! Crazy! If you had the headroom do you think you could muscle up?

Been dodgy for years, not sure exactly what's wrong with it. Mostly affects BB Bench but DBs seem OK at the moment.

Just a bit old and broken from lots of sport as a youth tbh.

40 pull ups were broken in to a LOT of sets haha. No way I could do a muscle up right now, maybe once I've dropped some weight and been back at the lifting for a while.

A little gas heater on propane won't cost the earth to run. Even just 20min before you start just to take the chill off.

Or get some bìtch mittens lol
