Moving to 4 day


I currently use a standard 3 day routine - back/bi, chest/tri, legs/shoulders - on a monday, wednesday, friday. Last week my routine got messed up for one reason or another and i trained monday, tuesday, wed off, then thurs and my normal routine was done for the week. I didnt like the idea of taking friday, sat, sun off so i did a focused bi/tri routine on the friday.

Killer session, one of the best ive had in the last few weeks so decided my routine was due a change and so am thinking bout goin to 4 day.

My question is - currently ill do 3 or 4 exercises for my back or chest depending on the day and then one on bi or tri specifically - If i move to a 4 day should i replace the isolation exercise for the bi/tri with another one for the back/chest?

    Are you trying to bulk?

    If the answer is yes i would do solely deadlifting on the 4th session for all over mass,
    Also adjust your old routine so you do mainly heavy compound exercises.
