Mr.BigMuscles Journal

Hi all, this is my journal. Hopefully it will keep me motivated to lift so i can get my six pack torwards the summer. Anywayz here is the deal, this is my last week of bulking and after this week i will go straight into cutting because i have taken last week off. I will be using this routine i am posting up for about 6 weeks: 1 week to bulk and other 6 weeks to cut. I will probably post my diet up here soon. Anywayz my stats are:
Age: 14
Height: 5' 9"
Weight:143
Goal: I am cutting torwards the summer and i want my 6 pack and i don't care if i am really lean so don't bother telling me to continue bulking because i want to have a good summer.

To be picky, Monday looks like a killer, I would add abs to your leg workout instead... picky tho.

Also you are doing more exercises on biceps than on triceps and chest, IMO I would drop one of your biceps exercises.

Good luck, looking forward to your progress.

Hi, i have taken the advice and i will do abs on wednesday. I will post up what i did earlier on monday and i decided not to do abs on monday but on wednesday. Also about the bicep thing, my biceps do not grow really at all so i really want to kill them.

Well see how it goes for you, more is not always better tho - I must admit when I started training it was a concept that took me a while to understand but paid off when I took a step back.

    4/28/03 Back & Shoulders Routine

Hi all I decided i would put up yesterday's back and shoulders routine. For some reason i got really really tired and i don't know why because the night before i got about 8+ hours of sleep. Anywway my weights were pretty low because i was juss so stressed. I think it might be because i had eaten a lot an hour before my workout.

    Deadlift 10/10/12 :45x10/45x10/55x12
    Barbell Rows 2 x 10 :55x10/55x10
Wide Grip Chin Ups 2 x Failure :BWx1/BWx1
    Seated Dumbbell Press 3 x 10 :40x10/40x10
    Shrugs 2 x 15 :40x15/40x15
    Side Lateral Raises 2 x 15 :20x15/20x15

The first number is the weight, the 2nd number is the reps. For some reason i guess i didn't try as hard that day because i was feeling a little down during my workout. Anyways on the deadlift should i make an arch because if i don't make an arch in my back and leave it normal it will make a little bump. I will have to keep the deadlifts relatively light so what weight should i do next week? Should i do 60x12? Thank you for reading my journal and please critique if you like. Also after deadlifts and barbell rows my muscles under my butt were shaking i think those were the stabalizing muscles working because they havent been shaking previously only when i started deadlifting and barbell rows again.

yea thats your hamstrings holding you up when you bend over, when your hams get stronger they won't shake don't worry, had the same problem when i started

-are you working at a gym or your house? i ask because i see your only getting 1 rep per set of wide grip chins. i would do lateral pulldowns on a machine till you get strong enough to do at least a set of 8, it will help get you stronger faster in my opinion. thats what i do still. i can usually only get like 2 and a half sets. or some forced reps at the last set.

-also i would put chins before bent over rows, thats my almost exact back workout and i like the chins before the rows, gives me better pump i think....well im just saying try it if you like

Ok thank you for your opinions i appreciate it. Yes i work at home, but i do have a lat tower but the only problem is its on a power rack and the bench is removable so i have nothing to prevent my legs from coming up. I can probably just put like a 25 pounder on my legs and that will keep them from coming up. I will probably put chins in front of barbell rows as my lats are not really that big.

Ok after being really mad i just decided to workout anyways. My allergies stopped before so i said screw it im fine now and i want to weight lift so i did. Good thing is that my allergies are gone for now and my weight lifting didn't provoke it. O ya J5 my allergies are like pollen, grass, mold, and the whole works and also peanut butter and some medicines. The reason i can not workout while i have my allergies is because my weights are in the basement and i get allergies down there sometimes especially during now. My sypmtoms are like sneezing and sniffling and if i workout my immune system goes down and the next day i am sneezing and sniffling the whole time. I will post what i did today whenever i get the chance possibly tommorow.

O also i was wondering about my cutting stuff i still am a little on the skinny side so i was wondering if i should just do cardio in the morning and juss continue eating but more healthy and a tiny bit less so i still lose fat slowly and still retain and maybe even gain muscle mass.

    5/02/03 Friday Chest & Arms

Ok workout i did on friday sorry it took me a long time to post this up but i have been busy:

    Bench Press: 10/10/12: 65x10/95x10/110x7 llbs.
    Dumbbell Flies: 20/20/20: 40x17/40x16/40x15 llbs.
    Skull Crushers: 15/15: 25x15/30x10
    Tricep Dips: Failure/Failure: BWx15/BWx12
    Standing Barbell Curls: 15/15: 45x15/50x10
Incline Seated Dumbbell Curls: 15/15: 20x2/10x12
    Pull Ups: Failure: BWx2

Numbers in middle are desired reps and the numbers at then end are the weight all in pounds and the repititions done. Low reps on pull ups usually if i do them by themselves i can manage 6, but because my biceps were aching i could only do them twice. Also my bicep strength is pretty much staying the same (But i have noticed a small mass gain within them). I will try extra hard to bust through this plateau and i think it is because i don't try as hard as i should (I try though but biceps give me a weird feeling when working out and i don't like the feeling). Thanks for the comments and i have decided to put on another week of bulking and next week i will start to cut but i have decided not to cut calories and just eat healthy and cut back on food more. I will be working out again today so i will post the results later.

what?!?!?! you don't like the feeling of not being able to bend or straighten you arm? or when you get a phone call and can't hold the phone to your ear because your arm is so tired? hehe i always hate the phone thing, i don't know what it is but everyday after bicep day someone calls my cell phone, it sucks heh. usually have to put it on my bed and lie down on it haha.

No lol i love that feeling especially the day after if my muscle is sore if it is not then i get agitated. Also for the Incline seated dumbbell curls I used 1 arm at a time so its weight for one arm. The thing that feels bad is while im doing bicep work i feel like i am going to sorta throw up but i know i won't. It just makes me feel bad the best feeling for me is bench.
