My 5x5 home workout

I have decided to start a journal so i will have a record of my improvements and to see how slow my benchpress and shoulderpress are going.I was writing it down on bits of paper which has now been lost so this is the safest way for me.
My routine is taking me about 2 hours at the moment which is too long. As i rest inbetween sets i get distracted watching the music videos,so my blame goes to beyonce ,britney and kylie.
2 weeks ago i changed my wide grip chins to pullups to work on my biceps more to see if it would help my benching. And at the end of the month i might change from dips to incline dumbbells,as i don't think my dip bars are wide enough to work my chest properly.
8th march 2004

Benchpress 85kg 1 rep short on 4th set 2 on 5th - will stay the same

Shoulderpress 521/2 will stay the same

Dips 10kg +5kg next time

10th
Squat 120kg +5kg

S/deadlift 90kg +5kg

Sit-ups 13kg +3kg

12th

Deadlift 130kg +21/2 as my grip is going

Bentover row 80kg +21/2 only to keep good form

Pullups 5kg + 21/2

I will start to weigh myself every Monday from now on until i get depressed because the added weight has gone around my belly [V]

2 hours to work out? You need to switch the videos off.

What are you doing for cardio?

I take about 5 min rest every set,so when i do the two warm up sets as well as the 5 sets its about 30 - 35 min per exercise.I can recover quite quick on the dips so only need about 2min per set.
Do you think i need to cut my rest time down a bit?
I play for a football team on saterday's so thats my cardio. And sometimes 5 a side on a tuesday.

    Monday 15th
    My weight was 12.13 stone

    Benchpress 85kg -1 rep on 5th set,same again next week[V]

    Shoulderpress 521/2 -1 rep on 3rd,4th,5th so i did a 6th set - 1 short again[V]

    Dips 15kg +5 next time

I dont know why i could'nt do the 5th reps on the shoulder press.I will switch the mtv off from now on.And be more focused when lifting.
I was only 1 rep short last week so dont know why im 3 short today.

    19th

Dead lift 2 x 132,½kg , 2 x 25kg- My blisters on my hand stopped me completing it. I tried going to 125kg for the remainder sets but gave up on the last.

Bent over row - 80kg completed ok [^]stayed at the same weight

Pull ups - 5kg[^]i did'nt get my chin right up on the last few reps for the 4th & 5th

Had a bad week this week and I don’t know why. I think maybe I need a rest for a week and change a few exercises around. My motivation and diet went out the window this weekend, I was eating all the right foods all week, I even went without any chocolate bars for the first time and replaced them with fruit. I had plenty of sleep all week but just couldn’t lift a thing. So when the weekend came I thought f*** the diet .
I have been thinking about adding skull crushers to my routine as my triceps dont feel like they are growing. When i used to train each bodypart with 3 exercises they felt rock hard & looked bigger,But my upper body dont seam to be responding to lower rep exercises. Not one upper body exercise i can say has improved since doing 5x5.
