Should have told the bank you just detected a fraud lol.

You should get in touch with billy2shots. I believe he is in the care industry but not sure what capacity. He might be able to give some insight.

Nice to see you gave the Fatgrip DB rows a try, they are good fun, especially the heavier you go.

Sorry to hear about the job delay, but at least its just a delay and not gone altogether, and sounds like you've got a good plan in mind with the nursing/care route. I think nurses and care workers are heroes tbh and the government doesn't do anywhere near enough to push people into choosing those careers in the first place.
I get what you mean about the office work, I've been in an office for 4 years now and I'm not cut out for it, I miss the tools. But it pays well and the flexible hours are great which is the only reason why I put up with as it suits the family. But sometimes I'd love to pack it all in and start a fresh doing something completely different.

Cheers, lads.

Am a bit daunted by what lies ahead but I'm also feeling motivated to do it. I've done some foul, jobs in my time. I've worked with convicted murderers, armed robbers and other unsavouries. However, the most spiteful, vindictive and downright evil people I have ever encountered have worked in offices. It's complete rat race culture in them all. In one way it has shown be just how **** mankind can be, pity that lesson had to be learned the hard way.

I'm done with them now. Money will be tight for a while but I'd rather not have to constantly restrain myself physically and verbally from going for someone, every day, in the work place. My old man always said that u can never stick a job that u despise and he was right, despite me disagreeing with him at the time.

Your old man is bang on mate doing a job you love is what its all about.I know money unfortunately over rides this but if you can make enough to live and be happy its worth a bloody fortune.

Barbell Bench Press 80k x 5, 90k x 2, 95k x 7
Viking Press 20k each side x 10, 27.5k x7, x 4
Standing Lateral Raises 10k x 2 sets of 10 (Fat Gripz)
Triceps Pushdpwns 45k x 2 sets of 12 (Fat Gripz)

Stretching

Fairly happy with that. I have been running about like a blue arse fly, today so went low volume on bench. There was defo an 8th rep and possibly a 9th, but I didn't wanna push it too much. Strength dropped off quite rapidly but, all things considered I was pleased.

Had an interview for a home care job, this afternoon. Pleased to say I was successful in the application. It's a small firm and the ladies I spoke to were pretty sound. Here goes nothing!

Wow that was quick! Did you give the ladies a quick arm flex or something? lol

Thought I may as well grab the bull by the horns. The Lady who interviewed me said that they've had to raise the hourly rate and that they are seeing stronger (must have seen the flex) candidates applying. The money is a fair bit less than what I've been on, but it's a start.

Hip flexor and knee (both right leg) still playing up. Did two sets of leg press with 85k each side for 15 reps a set, feet high and wide. No issues with either problem area but I was getting tempted to double the weight and go for a full steam ahead set. Fortunately common sense returned so I decided to do some fitness/conditioning stuff

Farmers Walk 12.5k each end of the handles and I'm not sure how much each handle weighs. Walked about 25 metres, set weight down, picked up again and walked back.

Ran to Reebok step, plus two blocks and did 10 vertical jumps

Smacked a tyre with sledgehammer, 5 reps each side

5 kettlebell swings with 12k bell

10 press ups

Did that circuit 4 times. Was royally ****ed but felt good. Headaches have reduced in frequency and severity so I think doc got it right about sinuses.

Fvck me I hate the beep test. I used to have to do it and trained with it to get to the required level. Ended up with shin splints so bad I actually had hairline fractures in my shins. Pain was okay when running with adrenaline but when I stopped I couldn't walk! Very hard to hide as I never told the trainers for fear I'd get booted off selection LOL

Now whenever I hear that stupid voice my heart rate really does increase and I can feel the stress rising!

Just go easy with the running if the knees playing up obviously.

There will be no talk of bleep tests in this journal? Makes me breathless thinking about the bastard things.

Dumbbell Rows 45k x 10, 50k x 6, 27.5k x 10 (Fat Gripz)

Shrug Machine 45k each side x 11, 50k x 8

Dumbbell Pullovers 15k x 11, 20k x 10

Cable Curls (2 hands) 45k x 10, 50k x 10

One Arm Cable Curls (Fat Gripz) 2 sets of 7

Stretching.

Delighted that I've progressed to using the 50's. Form was solid but the next dumbbell up is a 60k. Will get what I can over the next couple of weeks (reps) with the 50's and then move on to another exercise.

Knee not right. I was kneeling down this afternoon while putting a tv stand together and it's aggravated it even more. First day of training for new job, tomorrow.

DB pullovers a forgotten exercise,I thought I was the only one who does them these days

I love them just hitting the muscles from all angles thats what its all about I always thought it was about basically lifting heavy but its not.If you want overall development you have got hit the muscle from different ways this is my train of my thought.

I was trained by a old skool trainer back in the day when I was young but his insight has always proved to be right you need resistance no doubt but hitting it from all angles is just as important.

Watch that knee mate the last thing you need is to be laid up

I think that squats may have to be ****ed off as they (well, my execution of them) has irritated something. Training for new job boring as ****, they've planned two of us in front of dvds and given us work sheets to complete. I'm used to working in massive organisations with assigned trainers and programmes so this is a change, but I'm making the most of it.

Barbell Bench Press 90k x 2, 95k x 9
Viking Press 25k each side x 10, 27.5k x 5
Standing Lateral Raises drop set 12k x 5, 7k x 10
Tricep Push down 50k x 12, 60k x 7

Stretching

Lost one of me Fat Gripz but happy with session. Apologies that I've not added to many other journals; I've not had 5 minutes to myself this week.

How are the squats hurting you mate? Is it a technique issue or do you have bad knees?
