Glad to hear you're enjoying the new job mate. If you're a people person it could be very rewarding.

Chest Supported Dumbbell Rows 25k dumbbells x 3 sets of 10.
Corner Rows with Axle +30k x 10, +35k x 10, +37.5k x 10
Straight Arm Pulldowns 50k x 2 sets of 7, 35k x 12
EZ Bar Curls 10k each side x 10, 12.5k x 10
Stretching

Quite a strange session; didn't seem to get loads of tension on contractions, however, the muscles that I was targeting all feel worked, now. Form was bang on and pace pretty brisk.

Job going well although I had the first negative response from a client when he told me to **** off and said that I was a paedo. This was him shouting out of the window, I never stepped foot in the house and we'd never met before. I had been warned that he was an arsehole, but never expected that.

Back fine and knee almost fixed.

One thing about this job is the amount of ****s who work as carers. Whilst all of us are in it to get paid, if u are not a caring person; you shouldn't do a care worker role.

^^^ completely agree mate.

As for the old fella calling you a paedo LOL. You will no doubt have some mental health cases too mate even some undiagnosed so I wouldn't be too alarmed. There is the dementia too... Some things will seem utterly strange in the present but they might in fact be remembering something/someone from decades ago.

Just have to roll with it.

There will no doubt be some complete character and some complete loons.

Caring work attracts all manner of cvnts. My Mrs works in childcare and some of the people she works with a proper nasty pieces of work, at least with childcare there is a decent amount of monitoring. Elderly care is fraught with proper w4nkers tho. A mate of mine's ex wife got sent down for fleecing some poor old bugger of their money... 1) can't believe for a second he didn't know she was doing it with the amount of fancy family holidays etc they were having and 2) the celebration he helped throw for her when she came out that was posted on his social media - fvck that, your wife is scum mate, at the very least keep it low key

I can imagine that a few of the people I have worked with are capable of pulling a stunt like that off. Yes, there are clients who will push you to the limit but you then make sure they safe and contact social services. I think we are seeing the ramping up of the care crisis in this country and as more people require care, the more chances for bad uns to get into the system.

The only ****s I want to murder are the barstewards in the office. They have been amending my schedule without telling me. I was in the middle of one major arse clean up and got a message from another carer asking why I wasn't at her job. They'd amended it and had told the girl I was running late. Was out the house from 0640 to 2205. Finish at 1320, today; I'll be going into the office to kick off, on the way home. Haven't signed a contract, yet so may tell them to **** off and then get another company to work for

That type of BS often crops up in care work. Like Waiting in restaurants, you have one shift and then they expect you check every day that they haven't changed your shift as it's 'your responsibility'. Pain in the arse and just disrespectful to treat staff like that.

And when you say 'major arse clean up' can we take that quite literally LOL

The irritating thing, well, most irritating thing was that I'd checked my app two minutes prior to starting the job. It hadn't been added then, so I wouldn't have had any idea about the change. Yes, some old boy had opened his bowels, wasn't the nicest way to earn some money. However, I am immune to the smell now.

Had a word with care firm, today. Called them instead of going in, so that I didn't go too mad. They were full of apologies and promised it wouldn't happen again. One of the other carers said that they would chop my hours down, next week; given that I'd had a pop. True enough; next week's Rota came out and my hours have been slashed. They want to make me go crawling to them and beg for work. They can get ****ed.

100k for 10 reps. Still not going at it 100% yet, will save that for when I feel that the 10 reps are there.

+1 (1)
So, the hours were bumped back up, I got mostly 'nicer' clients and now know a little more on how the company works. Diet has been so so.

Yesterday's training

Corner Rows with oly bar. +40k x 12, +50k x 8, 7, 8
Chest Supported Dumbbell Rows 22.5k x 7, x10, x 8
Straight Arm Pulldowns (wider grip than usual) 40k x 8, x 8, x6
Ab work
Stretching

****ed the axle bar off and the movement felt loads better with the oly bar. Dropped the incline of the bench for the dumbbell rows, worked a treat. That and focusing on the contraction more than the stretch. Was a couple of women in there, acting like twats; gobbing off and making the atmosphere tense. Mind you, one of them had a 9/10 arse so was a fair trade off.

9/10 arses are rare these days, but it never makes up for twatish gobbiness.

Figuring out everyone's MO in the workplace is key, but marking the numbers of the twats who technically have no authority but use their power of rota charge, or entering over-time correctly as some kind of crown is key LOL
