My RAGE IN THE CAGE Strongman-vids and pictures

Well drove down the night before and went to weigh in site (Golds gym) I was 2 hrs early and thought I was around 106kg..he let me weigh early...104kg..no need to sauna good
Next morning went to gold and done some light warm up stuff - squats, side laterals and deadlifts - contest at 11am
There were 19 competitors - 6 LWs and the rest were middles and heavies - we chose #'s for order of first event..then the way you place on the events after determined your order on next.

1ST EVENT
Car deadlift hold, felt like 565 in hand, smooth bar, no straps
My time was I believe 18.2 seconds...2nd place - winner was 20 seconds

http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=UgAcDxHDRVo

2ND EVENT
Farmers carry, tire flip medley
100kg per hand famers, 600lb tire LWs, 700lb heavies...the tires were deffo smooth
I'm fairly certain I finished 3rd..I smoked the farmers and was just steady with tire flip

http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=szPVK4VLLMc

3RD EVENT
Cruxifix hold..first time ever - 25lb per hand
Held for 20.?? - good enough for 2nd place again

http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=FlQKkE9XafA

4TH EVENT
Truck pull - actually a monstrous big rig wrecker - 38,000 lbs
never done near that heavy
not sure of time(will know when results post..but think I was fourth

http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=uuE0oGzGeDA

5th EVENT
stones to 48"
LWs 220,250,280,300,330
Heavies 230, 260, 300, 330, 360

I have yet to put my 335lb to 48" and after all this was wishing to get fourth stone up
Struggled with the fourth IMMENSLY, but perservered and placed 2nd on stones and finished
OVERALL 2ND PLACE !!! wOO HOOOO

http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=wyKURWqU2FE

Very pleased and gave EVERTHING I HAD and been wasted all day. I would like to add that my training partners all placed in top three and got trophies -
Pat- HW 1ST place and best overall ..qualified for NATIONALS / Sam-HW 3RD PLACE / Mark -LW3rd place and me LW 2nd place..aslo qualified for NATIONALS likely want go though..need some more overall power and increased skill before battling those beast.

Just recieved a few pictures from partners wife....a little different perspective

Thanks for all comments guys...Stones being the last event..CERTAINLY took some of the fire out of my engine I rushed the fourth stone and did not push forward enough or I would of had some time for 330 stone...but SERIOUSLY DOUBT I would have had the strength to load it I still would have made second place...so no worry really
Nationals would be in Kansas I believe...I just don't think I'm ready for that after 5 months of Strongman...we'll see later on
Still doing my buddies comp on Aug 11 - I need to do more truck pulling cause he is having a hand over hand truck pull as well as a harness bus pull
