My best protein mug cake recipe to date

I've been messing around with protein mug cake recipes for awhile.  I had to share my latest creation because it's so good.

Coconut oil - a large teaspoon - melted
1 egg - beaten
1 small ripe banana - mashed
1 scoop vanilla protein powder
1 good dollop of Go Nutritions Hazelnut chocolate butter

Mix it all together in a mug, zap in a microwave for about a minute - enjoy

using banana seem to be quite popular lately in these types of 'snacks' ... I like the sounds of this one tho so will give it a whirl

No, but it rises anyway - it must be the egg I think

If you have a blender just buy a few bags of hazelnuts and blend. It takes about 15 minutes and you need to keep scraping down the sides but it works. At the end you can add in melted chocolate or cacao and sweetener. Ends up like nutella

I do very similar but don't always use a banana and sometimes add a dash of almond milk to keep it a bit moister. Also sometimes a bit of Xantham Gum as it tends to help thicken and make the cake a bit less chewy which it can be....

Or I use a huge mug and double up on the recipe and then use some 0 cal chocolate sauce on the top and just enjoy myself:D
