My improvised Routine For Today...
Today I had a bad day. I had to queue at my gym for an hour to get in. I waited 45 minutes and decided that this gym sucked so I left and I will try and get my money back somehow (Docs certificate).
Anyway I digress.
So I went home in a bit of a sulk.
Anyway I decided to pull out my chin up bar and I did some weighted close grip chins 5x5 using ankle weights.
Then I got thinking what else can I do?
I went into the shed and saw this old iron toolbox full up. Seeing as I am meant to do back and Bi's today I thought I'd do some one arm DB Rows using a chair. I did 5x5.
Now this toolbox may not have been heavy I don't know all I know is it felt heavy and it was over 3 foot in length so it was hard to Row with this thing.
After this I decided to strict curl it 5x5. Felt good I used the handle and curled it as high as I could. Burnt me bi's big time...
Then I felt bad that my lower back and traps had not been worked so I tried to do some deadlifts on a wheelbarrow. Unfortunately I could not find anything to make it really heavy so I knocked this on the head and instead did One Arm Deads with the toolbox.
Jees my lower back felt like it did with normal deads in a gym.
Anyway after all this I ate.
I feel good that I managed to improvise.
Was the routine organised? No
Was it ideal? Hell no.
Was the rep range good? Probably not. I could have done more/less who knows?
But who cares? I got a great workout and don't feel guilty that I missed a session. I have read Dino Training but this was the first time I used my own ideas to try and get a workout...
I'll post tomorrow to see how I feel...
