My routine (Needs some Tweaking)

Here has been my current routine for the last 3-4 months or so. I have noticed some very good gains lately, I am a tall person so have been really frustrated on the lack of muscle showing, but finally its paying off. Anyways, I am 21yrs old, 190pounds, 6'3". I'm looking for some new excercises to use as I don't want my muscles to get used to this routine. I'm also upping the cardio now as I have trip and summer comming up, I will be doing cardio in the evenings and on weekends. FYI, I work out on my lunch break, in gym for about an hour each session.

Monday – Chest

Flat Bench Press
Incline Bench Press
Decline Dumbell Press
Cable Crossovers
Flat/Incline Flies

Tuesday – Bi/Tri’s

Dumbell Curl Supersetted with Hammer Heads
Ez Curl or else use a Olympic bar to curl
Reverse Curl (Use machine with a flat bar)

Skull Crushers supersetted with tricep press (same bar)
Rope Pushdowns usually supersetted with Bench Dips
Dumbell Behind Overhead Press

Wednesday – Rest and Cardio day

Thursday – Back
Deadlifts
Seated Rows
Wide Grip Lat Pulldown
Lawnmower Pulls
Good Mornings


Friday – Shoulder
Shoulder Press
Front Raises
Upright Rows
Shrugs
Lateral Raises (Best name I could find… I actually turn at the end like Im emptying a milk jug.)

I usually do 3 sets to fail. About 6-10 reps. Abs are done a couple times a week at gym or at home. Any thoughts or suggestions? Thank you!

    Legs?????

    You seem to be doing a lot of exercises for each muscle too. I think you do with a drop in number.

    Your right, I do neglect my legs. I play bball a few times a week and I feel there already natural strong... but I guess they should be incorporated into my routine. Do you think I can go up to 5 weight days a week or should I fit legs into the above routine somewhere?

    I have always felt 5 excercises per muscle is a good amount. At the end of the workout I have worked up quite a sweat and feel real good. It just doesn't seem like a full workout if I only do 3 excercises...

    Some might say that it means you aren't training hard enough for those 3 exercises then... worth a thought.

    You should include legs. If you are up for a 5 day split then yes, especially considering the volume you do for each muscle
