MyProtein Liquid Egg Whites

Recently bought some liquid egg whites from MP on the packet it states once opened they need to be consumed within 48 hours, but on the MP site it states to be consumed within 2-4 days.

Which is it?

Thanks

not sure havet use any yet was just looking now

eggnations arrive frozen once defrosted last 7 (if there is any smell discard)

MP can be keep at room temp untill opened then it says 2-4 days

I think this is the general rule and no longer than 7 days

WARNING: Please check any opened package for any odour. Egg whites have little odour or taste so if they do have any strong odour please discard.

Im gonna order eggnation tho i think i like the carton idea

    i make it

4kg MP £12.56 with P&P = £17.06 (but that £4.50 P&P would allow you to buy up to 28 kg of eggs)

    4L EN with P&P= £20.80

both cotaining 33 egg white per litre / kg

larger ammount MP win hands down tho

    e.g.

    12 kg from MP with P&p = £37.98

    12 l from EN with P&P = £54.00

Do MP egg white come in just one conatiner though? or if you bought 10 kg would that be 10 tubs

    Hi Guys,

Our LEW are a fresh product, not frozen! You can of course freeze our LEW as well (just like if you bought fresh chicken breasts and you wanted to freeze, these are no different) to extend the life of the LEWs.

Our product start from £2.62 for 32 egg whites + P&P (which is flat rate). If you do buy a few packs it does work out quite a bit cheaper...different products ours is fresh and stays fresh for 5 months at room temp. - eggnation's is frozen. Depends what you want! :)

The terrapacks are excellent we agree. We are looking into better packaging as our's are more "refll packs". In the mean time we do sell a tub & pump:

    http://www.myprotein.co.uk/products/empty-tubs/tub-and-pump-(3-litre)/

    Thanks

    MP

what do you mean buy "refll packs" would that be like a pastic bag , that once opened is open?

and again your saying a price completey different to your site , which says 1item £3.49 (also says nothing about P&P)???

if you buy more than 1kg , will each kg be in a separte pack?

Ck I've got a pack of LEW from mp and the pack is a pain, once opened it's going to need to be put in some kind of container as there is no way of re sealing the pack.

MP - could you answer the question about once opened how quickly do the LEW need to be used, becasue your site contradicts the packaging

    CK - you in Basingstoke?

    Thanks

The prices start from £2.62. P&P costs are a flat rate courier cost (same if you buy 1 or 20) and this is explained on the shipping page. Yes each 1kg is in its own seperate pack...

It is a "refill pack" so once opened you transfer to our "tub and pump" or a tupperware jug or something simliar... :)

Once opened you must use within 2-4 days. We state 2 days to be 100% safe, but in our trials we could use 4 days after opening. Don't forget to store in the fridge once opened. You can also freeze our LEW (remember it is a fresh product with NOTHING added) and the product will last much longer!! Always to a "smell test" with egg whites, you can tell if they are off.

To store use a jug or an old milk plastic container! They do last at least 3 days thats as long as it takes me to drink mine! I have 300ml with a scoop of mp max and its really not so bad!

Excellent there are, MP. I add them to a milk/whey/oats shake and I can't taste them at all. They're a bit pricey to use as much as I'd like though.

    Here's a link peeps http://www.myprotein.co.uk/mp-max/liquid-egg-whites/
