NEW beginner- help needed with my nutriton

i am looking to start lifting weights but i know to succeed i need a better eating plan from the one i have now. on a normal day i usually get up at 4am for work.
4am banana, 2-3 weetabix
10am beans on 2  toast 2 poached eggs 
12pm chicken/tuna sandwich 200g
5pm  spaghetti bolognese 400g
9pm 2-3 weetabix 
a few months ago i would eat anything and most of it was not good for me from biscuits to cream cakes,mcdonalds etc.
now i know i should be eating much more regulary but i dont really know what to eat. i have just started having a shake.i am 23 years old. around 5' 9 12 stone 13 i am skinny but have a bit of belly.  i would like to make my self broader and also gain around 2-3 stone. any suggestions would be very helpful.

    thanks for that mate nice read. just come back from the gym and got to say my legs are killing!! i did 

    3 sets of bench press- 20kg, 30kg, 40kg
    3 sets of squats- 10kg, 20kg,25kg
    3 sets of dead lifts- 20kg,30kg,40kg
    20 min cardio

    also for my nutrition i have had so far
    7am protein shake,banana
    9am 50g brazil nuts
    10-11.30 gym
    12pm 125g uncle ben wholewheat rice and 240g salmon  
    whilst that is cooking i am having 200g natural yogurt.
    i know maybe i should be eating  more but its a start.
