A1 Bench Press
60kg x 10 reps

100kg x 5 reps
140kg x 2 reps --Third there but I didn't want burn myself out before the top set.
 
--Reverse Bands On
160kg x 3 reps
180kg x 3 reps --Epic struggle on the last rep, right on the limit.  This is exactly how it should have gone, happy.
140kg x 3 reps --Nothing left
140kg x 10 reps 
 
A2 Neutral Grip Chin Ups
x 3 reps
x 3 reps
+10kg x 3 reps
+10kg x 3 reps
+10kg x 3 reps --All weighted reps were much better than last week.  Number identical but certainly felt much stronger.

There's a reason they say it's an unholy hour of the morning.  They're all gone now but I had someone stop training with me because he got scared of my "about to lift something heavy" face.

The fatigue is real today.  I need to keep on top of recovery during the explosive block, it takes a lot more out of me that I realised.  Another lesson to learn for the next cycle.

110kg x 3 reps --Happy days.  I could go heavier for a single but this is a nice working weight.  Next time I'll get to this faster so I can get more reps in with a top weight. These were in fact fairly easy even with poo technique.  I see 140 on the distant horizon.  My records show that I've had 120 a few years ago but I would say I'm at about 125 as of now.

Rollout Jack Knife?
x 10 reps --Abs on fire after this set.  Much harder than the kneeling rollouts and seems to isolate.  
 
On the whole I'm happy with how the last 3 weeks have gone.  I just need to make sure I keep myself reigned in on the middle week and get my recovery in.  Very happy to get back to some start strength next week though.

I  just picked up my #3 to see if I can still mash it.  Glad to say I can.  The grippers rarely see any action these days but they are fun to use every once in a while.

60kg x 3 reps --My intent was to see how good my front rack position is.  It's ok but I feel like after 3 reps it will go sideways to kept the reps low.  As a bonus, I get a nice stretch in the hips and ankles.  A touch more weight would probably be good but main aim is mostly mobility.  Nice to have a useful squat variant in this block.
 
A4 Band Planks

Dead Press
95kg x 5 reps --Just.  Messed up a bit here.  Time was low and so I skipped a few of my warm up sets.  These would have told me to stick with a lower weight.  As it happens 95 was a bit too  heavy for today's lifts.  Also I may need some extra work on my left side since it's lagging a little. 
80kg x 5 reps
80kg x 5 reps

Also Chucked in some HSPU mechanical Drop sets, needed to make up some volume.

Thanks dude.  Despite being a bastard hybrid of two lifts these were exactly what I wanted.  Maximal explosion so  a heavy weight could be used but also having to fight for the lockout out.

There was definitely a good 3rd rep on that 140 bench. Smashing last couple sessions mate. How sthe body feel mixing with KM? Are you getting any cross over or are they to 'opposite' for crossover?

Yep it was there for sure, kept it back though so I could keep going up.  Thanks mate, although I'm looking forward to the relative light work of this block. 
 
It certainly did take a while to adjust to endurance requirements of KM as well as the fitness element.  I do think it's complementary though since it's giving me something I just wouldn't get from strength training.  Basically it makes me get up and move rather than just being fat and strong.  There are days when things are less than optimal but in general things are heading in the right direction.
 
However, being strong and heavy (can't say big since I'm built like a hockey puck) does carry over to my fighting.  Combat sports have weight classes for a reason. When I'm gym strong then I can fling people around like rag dolls.  Also things like my chokes and bear hugs become almost impossible to escape.  Basically where brute strength is a factor I'm head and shoulders above everyone else.  Conversely my strike are all strong but strength increases have little carry over.  As with lifting technique is king.

Ha, well from the floor they are quite easy but on blocks with that full ROM, they are damn hard.
