The dinnie stone setup looks a bit uncomfortable due to the straddle. Does that get easier with practice? I'd imagine the way the body is twisted when doing it could cause problems for some.

Impressive lifts though man, must admit I'd like to try the dinnie lift myself now. Now I've got the campervan I might try and persuade the mrs to let me do a few of the lighter stone visits in scotland! I hadn't even heard of it until Ox mentioned it a few posts back lol

I got them from Killer Strength Scotland, they are made to order exact replicas of the real thing.  Great bit of kit, very well made.

Yeah, it will be just the lift.  I need to hold them for 2 seconds to count.  There's different levels but that's the one I want.

Fancy doing this myself.. Combine it with a small holiday... How much were your replicas bud?

TBF, it is.  I need to play around and find something better, it felt alright at the time but watching the video back it's very inefficient.   I need to get over the top a bit more.

I like the idea of stone lifting, it the history  and "manhood" challenge that appeals. There's quite a few about, just none near where I live

They were £150 and my big lifting purchase for the year.  I can't get any more kit until 2019 now, damn you responsibilities.

Band Triceps Overhead Extensions

Messed around with my Dinnie Handles for bit before doing any actual lifting.  Ideas are brewing.

A1  Bench Press
60kg x 5 reps
80kg x 5 reps
100kg x 5 reps
130kg x 1 rep
150kg x 1 rep --Much faster this week.  More there without a doubt even though bizarrely I felt heavier this week.

--Reverse Bands Added
160kg x 3 reps
160kg x 3 reps --Week 2
160kg x 2 reps
160kg x 2 reps
160kg x 2 reps
160kg x 2 reps
160kg x 2 reps
160kg x 2 reps

A2 1 Arm BB Rows
25kg x 10 reps (Each Side)
25kg x 10 reps (Each Side)
25kg x 10 reps (Each Side)
30kg x 10 reps (Each Side)
30kg x 10 reps (Each Side) --I haven't tried these before but I like them.  They hit my back in a different way then I've experienced before.  Feels like these would be best used with a lighter weight and under control for reps.

--At lunch
Band Triceps Push Downs
x 25 reps  --Two bands
x 25 reps  --Two bands
x 25 reps  --Two bands for 10 reps , 1 band for 15 reps

Triceps pumped as all hell after this.

Seated Band Rows

Ta, I think they're a weak point so if I can bring them up a bit it should make a difference.  Also the pump was awesome.

Cheers Brett, damn right it was cheaper, cost me £60 all in. That was years ago and it's had some rotten treatment over the years.

Looks like I forgot to log Fridays squats.  Hmm since I didn't post them on the internet that must mean they didn't happen.

feeling a bit ropey today so I decided to smash out

Band Rows -- X rows
x 25 reps
x 25 reps
x 25 reps

Band Face Pulls
x 25 reps
x 25 reps

Band Triceps Overhead Extensions
x 25 reps
x 25 reps
x 25 reps

Bulgarian Split Squats
x 10 reps (Each Side)
x 10 reps (Each Side)

Nordic Curls
x 5 reps
x 5 reps --Band Assisted.

A1  Dead Press
bar x 10 reps
60kg x 5 reps
70kg x 5 reps
80kg x 3 reps

A2 1xDB Row
40kg x 15 reps (Each Side)
40kg x 10 reps (Each Side)
40kg x 10 reps (Each Side) --Slightly more reps than last week.  I've added a slight pause right at top, it's probably not even a second but wow does it light up my back.

A3 Band Plank
~30 Seconds
~30 Seconds
~30 Seconds

Dead Press
90kg x 3 reps
90kg x 3 reps
90kg x 3 reps --This is my pre-op strength so everything from here (next week) is progress.

90kg x 2 reps -- Discovered on this rep that if I point feet at 10 and 2 then my glutes lock in tighter.
90kg x 2 reps
90kg x 2 reps
90kg x 2 reps
90kg x 2 reps

SSB Squats
60kg x 5 reps
90kg x 5 reps
120kg x 3 reps
120kg x 3 reps
120kg x 3 reps --This is actually my current max triple.  There is way more in the tank, I've clearly got a lot stronger at these.

--At lunch
Chin Ups
x 3 reps
x 3 reps
x 3 reps
x 3 reps
x 3 reps -- I need to build these up again.  The plan is to through is 2 sessions of 3x5 for a few weeks, then add a third.  Then I can build either reps or sets.  Nothing fancy, just targeting quality volume.

Another one for the "hand made" gym equipment. If I had a garage again It would be kitted out, loved training at home and improvising.

Strong on the overhead work mate. Since I injured my shoulder I can't effectively overhead press standing anymore. Why I now do Seated behind neck press and dumbbells.

And Nordic ham curls are imo the best hamstring exercise, look easy but done properly brutal!

Too fat.  I'm about 108kg at the moment but that does need to come down a bit.

I really like the problem solving aspect of a home gym, there is usually something that can be rigged up for whatever you want to do.

The aim is to hit 115kg with consistency.  I can get 110kg any day, it's all about those small jumps but making it and everyday thing.

Those Nordics are evil, I get cramp far to easy when I do them which basically tells me I need to do more. Aiming to just get more reps in right now as I can't get enough volume.

Ha thanks mate, the form I'm using for rows feels better, like I'm getting more with less.  Although I probably will go heavy again at some point.  I've never got on  well with straps and DB's but if I can get some crazy heavy partials I think it will be worth it.  As long as I can feel my scaps retracting (or trying too) I think there will be benefit.

80kg x 3 reps (Each Leg)
80kg x 2 reps (Each Leg)

Today I kept adding plates to the bar but adjusted the lift as the load increased.  Kind of fun and actually felt productive so win win.

300kg x 2 reps -- I want to get these up to 2 sets of 5 but with less than a maximal effort.  Today I could have grunted out some 5's but it would have cost me for the rest of the week (and likely next week).

Feel like I've been put through a mincer, normally I would take a rest day and get the work in later in the week.  However, this week I'm off doing some charity work on Friday so I won't be training.  Looks like it's man up and get on with it time.

140kg x 1 rep --Easy stuff.

--Reverse Bands on.  Damn lamp ran out of battery at this point so it was pitch black from here on in.  That meant going by feel which required every rep to be that much more controlled.  I actually think this was a bonus since it was like I got more form each and every rep.
